We regret to hear that you had to return the WH1000XM4 headphones because they didn't live up to your needs. The WH1000M4 does feature an adjustable headband for optimum fit and comfort. Using the Sony Headphones Connect app, you can also adjust the equalizer function to tailor-fit the sound quality to your needs.

While we are happy that you appreciate the product, we are sorry to hear that it caused you some discomfort or your ears get tired after a long period of usage. You may be experiencing a symptom called listener fatigue. That is where your eardrums work hard to manage the volume that flows through your ear canal. The louder the volume, the bigger the strain on your eardrums, which then causes the feeling of fatigue. Try lowering the volume or take a break from wearing them for a while. While we're glad that you like most of the features, we’re sorry to hear that you’re experiencing discomfort and pressure on your head while using our WH-1000XM4 headphones. Wearing the headphones correctly is essential, not just so they are comfortable but also to ensure the noise-canceling function works as intended.

It's important to adjust the slider before wearing the headset, as improper positioning can lead to discomfort and diminish the effectiveness of the noise-canceling feature. Additionally, incorrect placement may interfere with the wearing detection function, potentially causing automatic music playback interruptions or triggering the automatic power-off feature for battery conservation. we hope these tips enhance your experience!

We're happy to hear that you like the incredible sound quality of these headphones. Your feedback about the noise cancellation is greatly appreciated. Our WH-1000XM4 has a slider that you can use to adjust the length of the headband to get the best fit and for comfortable listening experience. Please note that if you put on the headset without adjusting the slider, the headset may not be positioned properly on your head, resulting in discomfort or a weak noise canceling effect.

The noise canceling function is effective in low-frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices. Check that the Adaptive Sound Control is turned off. Check the setting of the Adaptive Sound Control on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. When the Adaptive Sound Control is turned on, the noise canceling function may become insufficient.
