    Great sound but poor microphone for calls. If you're going to use these for office work I got a lot of complaints compared to Bose.

      We're glad that you like the sound quality of the headphones. It's unfortunate that you are not having a complete experience because of call quality. For optimum performance, make sure that the software version of the headphones is updated (via the Sony Headphones Connect app). These steps may also help when using the mic function of the headphones:

      -Re-establish the connection between the source device and the headset.
      -Select HFP or HSP for the profile.
      -You can also check the settings of the app that you are using for mic sensitivity if available.

    This is exactly the gift that my wife wanted. The ear pads on her old headphones were worn, The sound and noise canceling are unbelievably better. The price was very competitive. The M4 actually sounded better than the M5.

    Noise canceling worked GREAT!!! One of the best for that. Now the bad news - The microphone performed like garbage. Garbled, static, and often times cut out audio - even when using USB 5.0 on a computer, on my cell phone, or on my laptop. The microphone was the same garbage in Zoom, Skype, or facebook --- also just recording audio using the sound recorder on the phone. I went with Bose 700s - Noise canceling great but the microphone worked flawlessly on that pair.

The WH1000XM4 requires the A2DP Bluetooth profile for Bluetooth audio playback. You need to check the specifications of your iPad if it also supports the said profile.
