We're glad that you like the noise canceling function of the headphones. It's unfortunate that your first one broke. These headphone come with a carrying case. It is recommended to place the headphones on the case when not in use for storage and protection. You can check with our authorized service center for possible repair options. We'd love to troubleshoot the issue and make this a better experience for you. In the meantime, updating the software of the WH-1000XM4 will help improve the overall performance of the headphones (Version 2.5.0) which you can download and update using the Sony Headphones Connect app.
