Superb sound quality and ANC

In the default setting, the headset will automatically turn off after 15 minutes of not being worn. The Aux cable that it comes with didn’t work fresh out of the box. So I had a 350$ paper weight for my trip. When using the wireless connection and the noise canceling is excellent though. Will be returning to Best Buy to exchange as soon as I get home.

This isn't normally the case with the WH1000XM4. Make sure that the cable is connected properly and is secured. Try multiple devices as well. If still not resolved, service may be required. I gave it 4 stars because after hearing other options I feel as though these lean on the quieter side.

This isnt good for the gym even with the noise cancelling function the bass is so low so you can hear the music that the gym is playing. Also, it turns off randomly not sure if its trying to conserve power but i turned off everything in the app and it still does it. Most annoying thing ever is enjoying a song and the headphones turn off.

Please allow us to help and make this experience to a better on.
Make sure to update the software version of the headphones (via the Sony Headphones Connect app) for optimum performance. The noise canceling function is effective in low-frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices.
These steps may also help improve your experience with the noise canceling function:
-Make sure that the noise canceling function is turned on.
-Adjust the headset into a comfortable position.
-Check that the Adaptive Sound Control is turned off. Check the setting of the Adaptive Sound Control on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. When the Adaptive Sound Control is turned on, the noise canceling function may become insufficient.
-With the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app, check the setting of [Ambient Sound Control]. If it is set to [Wind Noise Reduction] or [Ambient Sound], the effect of noise canceling is reduced. Set it to the noise canceling mode.
-Disable Speak-to-Chat, and check whether the situation has improved.
-Check with the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app whether the function of the CUSTOM button is set to [Ambient Sound Control].

Do not use for Video Conferencing

The microfone is terrible. I have used this many times for the past 6 months on video conferencing and I am so tired of people telling me to "speak up", "could you repeat that" "I can't hear your", "WHAT". The cheap microphone on my laptop works better!!!!!! Has many features which, unfortunately, take a lot of time to figure out. The volume control in partuculary, did not work as advertised. They sound good but the horrible microphone quality and hard-to-use features makes these an expensive, useless piece of junk!!!!!!!!!!! I have gone back to my 15 year old Bose corded headphones and they work great for video conferencing.

Make sure to install the latest software version of the headphones (via the Sony Headphones Connect app) for optimum performance. Re-establish the connection between the headphones and your source device. Select HFP or HSP for the profile. You can also check the settings of the app that you are using for mic sensitivity if available.
