It shouldn’t be a big deal, but it happens too often … like once every 2-3minutes. And when it does, sometimes the Noise cancelling setting is off. If it was a cheaper wireless headphone, I wouldn’t be upset, but this is the top of the line from Sony, it’s frustrating.

We're glad that you like the sound quality of the headphones. It's unfortunate that you are not having a complete experience because of connectivity issues. For optimum performance, make sure that the software version of the headphones is updated (via the Sony Headphones Connect app). Please refer to the troubleshooting steps on this link to help resolve the issue:

Here are the steps to reset and initialize the headphones:
Resetting the headset
-Press both the (power) button and the CUSTOM button simultaneously while charging. The headset will be reset. The device registration (pairing) information is not deleted. If the headset does not operate correctly even after resetting, initialize the headset to restore factory settings.
Initializing the headset to restore factory settings:
-Turn off the headset while the USB Type-C cable is disconnected and then press and hold the (power) button and the CUSTOM button simultaneously for 7 seconds or more. The indicator (blue) flashes 4 times, and the headset is initialized. This operation resets volume settings, etc. to the factory settings, and deletes all pairing information. In this case, delete the pairing information for the headset from the device and then pair them again.

Ehh sound quality

Not impressed with the sound quality. They needed EQ customization to sound ok, however, I found that my AirPods sounded better out of the box. The sound quality was a bit lacking for the price. These headphones also did not fit my head, as they often began to slide to the back of my head whenever I made a slight adjustment.

For sound quality, we want to make sure you are getting the most out of your headphones. Please make sure you have downloaded the Sony Headphones Connect app. There you will find all sorts of tools to fine-tune your WH1000XM4 and maximize the volume to your liking. You can also set the sound quality mode to Priority on sound quality mode using the app for an immersive sound experience.
For comfort fit concern, these headphones have a self-adjusting headband and soft cushioned earcups that cover the whole ear. You may try adjusting the headband slider so that they cover your ears. This will help give you more personalized comfort.

Broken after less than 4 months of use

Sorry Sony. Switching Back to Bose

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My QC1 Bose headphones started to have problems with the power button after 4 years of owning so after some back and forth between the Bose 700 and this I decided to give Sony a shot. Overall I think it’s ok. Not worth 350 to be honest. I’ve owned them for 4 days using them mainly for zoom, phone calls and music. I’ve heard complaints on how my voice sounds on the other end, switching between more than two devices is a pain, music tends to skip and muffle a bit for no reason. The headphones also tend to turn on by themselves which is funny since that was the same issue I started to have with my Bose. As a Bose customer for the past 10 years, I think I’ll stick to what worked best. Will try out the Bose 700 instead. Sorry Sony but not a great first impression.

Make sure to update the software version of the headphones (via the Sony Headphones Connect app) for optimum performance. You can also use the app to turn on the [Connect to 2 devices simultaneously] for easier switching between devices, set the headset to “Priority on stable connection” mode for better Bluetooth connectivity, and adjust the equalizer to improve sound quality.
