Broken after less than 4 months of use

We recommend installing the Sony headphones Connect app and adjust the built-in equalizer to optimize the sound. Also, to ensure you get the most out of your XM4, please update its firmware to the latest version (2.0.7)

Really wanted to like these headphones.

But until Sony fixes the static in the right ear which appears to be a general problem with the XM4s I had no choice but to return. So I purchased the Bose 700 which are awesome and did not have any such issue and the sound is very impressive. Am a big Sony fan so I truly hope they step up and fix the issue so they do not lose customers.
