Buy the accidental coverage, you will need it. Learn from my mistake.

Automatic pause and shut off stopped working

I recently noticed, however, that the battery would be drained because it would not automatically turn off when I took the headphones off. Sony support was not helpful. I'd return this product if the issue did not arise immediately after the date where I can return them to Best Buy.

For random shut off, please make sure that your headphones have the latest software update. You can check for updates using the Sony Headphones Connect app. Please check the Auto Power Off Setting. he headphones may automatically turn off after 15 minutes of not being worn. You can disable this feature through the Sony Headphones Connect app. Verify the battery level when the issue occurs. If the battery is low, charge the headphones fully and see if the problem persists.
For sound issue on the left side, please make sure that the connected device is as close as possible to the left side of the headphones, which houses the built-in antenna. This can help improve the Bluetooth signal strength. Please make sure that the earbuds are properly fitted in your ears. Sometimes, an improper fit can cause volume imbalance. Try changing the earbuds to another size that comfortably and snugly fits both ears. The best size earbuds may be different for the left and right ears.

The noise canceling function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices. If you feel like the noise canceling is not sufficient, please try these steps to troubleshoot.
-Make sure the noise canceling function is turned on.
-Adjust the headset into a comfortable position.
-The noise canceling function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices.
-When the Adaptive Sound Control on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app is turned on, the wearer's actions, like walking or running, are detected. The noise canceling function is automatically adjusted and the Ambient Sound Mode may be activated according to these actions.
-To make the most of the noise canceling function, turn off the Adaptive Sound Control, and try to turn on the noise canceling function manually when you need it.
-With the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app, check the setting of [Ambient Sound Control]. If it is set to [Ambient Sound], the effect of noise canceling is reduced. Set it to the noise canceling mode.
-Check with the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app whether the function of the NC/AMB button is set to [Ambient Sound Control].
-Because the noise canceling performance is automatically optimized by the Auto NC Optimizer function according to changes in the wearing condition and usage environment, you may notice fluctuations in the noise canceling effect.

Good but Bose 700s are the better set imo

I ended up picking the Bose 700 as I use these often on conference calls and the mic for the Sony picked up a ton of background noise. The active noise cancellation also had a bit more pressure to me and I'd feel a bit busy when it kicked up to the higher levels.

Waste of Money

I'm a fan of BEATS and I love how easy I can connect to different devices. The fact that I literally have to forget device in settings on these each time I want to connect to a different device is so inconvenient. I can't get rid of the ambient sound and they sound muffled at times. Now, there is absolutely no sound and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it back. I searched on YouTube how to factory reset, tried that, and nothing. I'm so upset that I wasted my money on these. $350 gone
