Very comfortable and can wear for a long time. Noise cancelling works well and audio quality is great. Definitely worth the price! I get distracted easily so I think these will help me focus at work/school. However it does not connect to calls that well. I did not charge it for 1 month and it still held up.

These headphones deliver on all their promised features. I charged them as soon as I unpacked them and have put them to use for approximately 10 hours without needing to recharge them. Sony states 30 hours is possible and I suspect that is true as they still report 100% charged. The noise canceling feature absolutely rivals my Bose QC15 and my husband’s QC25 over the ear headphones and I daresay, might be a little better. The speak to chat feature which is designed to detect the wearer’s voice to signal you are having a conversation, works seamlessly and brilliantly! I was able to participate in a webinar with no concept of the ambient noise around me (which included music being played throughout the house) and once I began speaking the headphones detected my voice and stopped cancelling the ambient noise so that I could clearly engage in a conversation with others around me without removing the headphones. Even though speak to chat was engaged, noise cancelling still dampened some of the ambient noise, so I didn’t realize how loud the environment really was until I removed the headphones. Once I finished my conversation the headphones automatically switched back to the sound of the webinar that I was engaged in. I also conducted phone calls from these headphones and experienced crystal-clear sound and no distortion was reported by the other party. Speak to chat does not engage for phone conversations so if you are on a call while wearing them they will not tune in to someone around you when you speak, this only works for passive audio. Sony’s Headphones app is simple to use and allows you to further customize your experience with the headphones. One of the features in the app is to photograph your ear location relative to your head so they can customize how sound flows out of the headphones and optimize how you perceive the sound. Through optimization in the app including an equalizer feature, you can configure the headphones to give you surround sound quality, but you must have a compatible music streaming subscription to take full advantage of it. Sony does offer you a free trial coupon as part of your headphones purchase. The headphones readily pair with two devices and very easily switch between them so that they active device is always dominant. This feature worked well between my laptop and cell phone. These headphones are lightweight and deliver amazing audio clarity regardless of musical genre and audio file type. The come with great travel case including an airplane adapter and USB-C charging cable and fold neatly.

Sony has been a brand that cares about details, quality and satisfaction in its products, and I let me tell you that this is not an exception. The new 1000XM4 headphones have several quite useful functions, it seems that this time the focus has been towards the multiple uses that noise cancellation can be given. First of all, the noise cancellation is very good compared to the high-end headphones currently on the market. Regarding this area, the headphones have the ability to recognize where you are, in order to "learn" what kind of configuration is ideal based on ambient noise and in what way the headphones are being used, if you are resting, studying or in motion, is quite interesting, of course that all these functions can be activated and deactivated if one wishes. The possibility of not removing your earphones to be able to listen to or even respond to someone who is speaking to us, is a feature that with the passing of days becomes quite useful and easy to use. It also has sensors that, when you remove the headphones, stop the music or whatever it is that you are playing on the device to which the headphones are connected. The size and design are great, the material of which they are made feels of very good quality, after several hours of use there came a time that I forgot I had them on, the noise cancellation is really immersive that you can ignore everything external noises, so you just have to be aware of our environment if necessary. It has a case in which a usb-c cable is included to charge the headphones, a 3.5mm audio cable and an adapter for PC or devices that require two connections, one for audio and the other for the microphone. Regarding the above and in general, the only thing that I do not like at all is the cable to charge the headphones since it is very short and it can be uncomfortable to place the headphones in a good place or position to charge them, but this is compensated with the audio quality that is phenomenal, in addition to that if you have a subscription to a music service that provides HiFi quality audio, you can enjoy surround sound with great detail. Downloading the app is essential since from the app you can use and modify the functions in the way that is most comfortable for you. Without a doubt it is one of the best options on the market, in my experience I could say that these headphones make a perfect reference to the value for money, since it is worth every penny, I would definitely recommend these headphones to everyone, excellent work Sony: )

They fit nicely (and I usually prefer earbuds, so I was a little wary getting over-the-ear) and so far seem to be pretty good at canceling outside noise. After a month of owning them, I'd definitely recommend for how they've been so far.

Lasted one year now won’t charge for more than a minute at a time! Lots of money for little quality!

THE WORST HEADPHONES I HAVE EVER OWNED. LIFETIME BEATS WEARER AND WAS TALKED INTO THESE BY THE MANAGER. THEY DON'T EVEN COME CLOSE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE HEADPHONES THEY ARE A JOKE!

Overpriced piece of junk. My HyperX Alpha S Gaming Headset sounds way better then these Sony's. Can't believe these headphones cost more then my Xbox One S. What a joke.

I had my eyes on the previous version of these headphones for awhile, I knew that they were the top rated noise cancelling headphones but I never pulled the trigger and bought a cheaper set instead. I wasn't a huge fan of the Beats and pounded when I had the opportunity to get the new Sony's. I could not be happier that I did. They are packed nicely in a simple box and in a hard, somewhat flat case. The charging and line-in cable are tucked away neatly and it even comes with an airplane adapter. I like how this lay pretty flat and it will make it easy to pack them for a trip. I followed the instructions and downloaded the Sony app and I was up and running within seconds after that. They were simple to pair with my iphone and there's even a feature to pair to a second device, so I can seamlessly switch audio to my iPad. The app has an EQ setting as well as some other nifty configuration options. For my tests, I turned on a speak to chat function that pauses music when you speak, will be very handy on a flight one day. I ran a scan that took pictures of my face and ears to allow for a more customized sound and full noise cancellation. Once I was done fiddling with the app, I set up Amazon Alexa. A simple push of a button allows you to control your music and smart home hands free plus all of the other Alexa options. I love this! You can set it up with the Google Assistant if you prefer. Next, it was time to break these puppies in. I decided to put them to the test with some Metallica and holy wow was I blown away! It sounds like I have the music all around me with perfect clarity and incredible bass. There are touch controls on the right ear cup to change songs, pause and volume. I blasted the music and could not believe my ears. By far, the best I've ever heard music on a pair of headphones. Not only that, all outside noise was eliminated, I was in my own little world of musical bliss and I loved every second of it. The battery life is incredible and I find myself using these more than my home audio system now. The speak to chat feature is pretty awesome too. Phone calls are clear and sound perfect on both ends. If you have been on the fence about a pair of noise cancelling headphones, just do yourself a favor and get there. I've used at least 4 other brands and these are the best!

Before I had experience with a good set of noise cancelling headphones I didn't understand what all of the fuss was about. They don't look any different than my normal headphones so why would I pay more for these? Truth be told it is hard to tell someone how much better they really are. When you put them on the world around you disappears, and you are left truly immersed in your music. With that being said the Sony WH-1000XM4 wireless noise cancelling headphones truly take the experience to the next level. First things first the star of the show is the active noise cancellation, and it works brilliantly. I am completely isolated from the sounds of the outside world, and left with only my music, and my thoughts. Perhaps my favorite feature is the fact that while wearing them I can talk to someone, and the headphones automatically stop the music, and allow ambient sound in so that I can have a conversation. The convenience of this feature cannot be overstated! That really is the start of a theme with these headphones. Quality, and convenience. The earcup features a touch panel for all of your controls. I have never been a huge fan of this in the past, but the Sony - WH-1000XM4 makes things very intuitive with everything being controlled with a tap, a swipe, or a hold. To put it simply playback of my music actually sounds better on these headphones than any other speakers I have. Period. The associated app is really handy as well. Lots of options to play around with including assigning the function of the custom button on the headphones. The build quality of these headphones is absolutely fantastic. The nicest I have experienced in that regard, and I can already tell they will last for years to come. My next favorite feature is the battery life. Sony claims 30 hours and 10 minutes of charge will get you an astounding FIVE HOURS of playback. To my pleasant surprise I would have to say that these figures are accurate (depending on volume). Overall these are the finest headphones I have ever had the pleasure of using. They can take you from the crowded seats of a city bus to a journey where nothing exists other than you, and your music. Lots of noise cancelling headphones do things right , but the Sony - WH-1000XM4 do it best! These receive my highest recommendation.

They don't work well with iPhones. The connect to music and other apps are great but they just don't well with having a phone conversation.

I've owned lots of headphones in my day and I've never experienced headphone quite like these! First off the noise cancellation is the best I've ever heard without even turning the headphones on I could barely hear anything! I quickly downloaded the app and try to set the music to the way I like and it's really quite simple once you get the hang of it. I then Bluetoothed it to my phone to see how it would sound. I went to my music playlist and picked a few songs to listen to. I was singing Extremely Loud and I couldn't hear myself, but the music wasn't that loud in my ear which is amazing! Then I called my mom and my aunt to see how the call Quality was, and they said that they didn't even know I was on a headset until I told them. They say it sounds better than when I talk to them on the phone without a headset. You just have to be careful when you're taking a walk Outdoors because you can't hear anything behind you. You have to set the headset noise cancellation function , so you can hear outside noise. I almost got hit by a person riding a bike and didn't even hear him coming. I'm still learning a whole bunch of new features, but I would definitely say that this is worth every penny! It's extremely comfortable and the sound is phenomenal!

Annoying to use and stopped recharging right outside the warranty window. Do yourself a favor and by Bose.

I dont usually write reviews but this is the worse headphones for the price. The mic quality subpar and the ear hole hurts after wearing the headphones for more than a hr.

They slide off my head constantly my husbands jbl’s for 60 bucks sound better

Nose cancellation is pretty bad and it picks up all the background noise

The color isn't great. Bought it on sale & bestbuy refused to honor their exchange policy for a new color even though they were the same price on sale & off sale. The box was in its original wrap & never opened. The sound is alright

Returned them. For the price i found better ones that had better sound quality.

I bought this headphone in December 2020 and two months after most of its features are not working and I cannot even exchange it. Horrible experience
