It's unfortunate that you are not satisfied with the call quality. For optimum performance, make sure that the software version of the headphones is up-to-date (via the Sony Headphones Connect app).

      These steps may also help when using the mic function of the headphones:
      -Re-establish the connection between the source device and the headset.
      -When using a video calling application on a computer, switch the Bluetooth connection to HFP or HSP with the computer. During a video call, sound quality may become low due to the conditions of the communication line.
      -You can also check the settings of the app that you are using for mic sensitivity if available.

    Avoid at any price

    The headphones require a timely set up to avoid having the item track and report your every movement to Sony. The mic in the headset produces low quality sound and cuts out repeatedly on Zoom, MS Teams, etc... The troubleshooting webpage for this product at Sony is of very little use. It simply repeats what is in the manual, as does the chat assistant. I gave these a try based on several online reviews. However, I am returning to Bose again, which are only slightly more expensive than the Sony WH-1000XM4.

    Stop shopping at best buy

    They are too big and Best Buy has the shortest and worst return policy. so I was a day late and they wouldn't allow a return. So make sure your head is big enough, especially if you're a girl. These will fall off due to any sudden movement or if you are laying down, planking, any movement really.

      We regret to hear that our Sony WH1000XM4 won't stay long and fall every time you make a move. This is not the usual case with our XM4. We recommend to try and adjust the headband of your XM4 to the desired fit but it will not hurt your head or ears. By this, the headphone will stay on your head.

    Nice until the earpiece swivel breaks -

    These were ok while they lasted - not as good as you would expect for the price, especially not the microphones for use in Zoom. But I was very shocked today to find out that when the swivel on the right ear piece broke that the repair would not be covered by warranty. Granted, I did use these almost every working day for 9 months but I can't believe that this is not covered.

      This is not the experience that we want you to have. For optimum performance, make sure that the software version of the headphones is updated (via the Sony Headphones Connect app). These steps may also help when using the mic function of the headphones:

      Regarding the issue with the breakage, unfortunately, this is not covered by the manufacturer's limited warranty. This isn't normally the case with the WH1000XM4. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Rest assured that this will help us improve our products.

    Hedphones stopped charging

    Be careful buying these headphones. I bougth it 14 months ago and the device stopped charging and the charging port is getting hot. It is not covered by the vendor's warranty.

    These are great headphones but have a major flaw: after using them for some time, the ANC develops a feedback loop, extremely sharp and shrill whistling noise that can damage your eardrums. It's a shame Sony hasn't address this problem (even common in XM3s). Don't waste your money!

    Sony headphones

    These headphones are awesome. I always use the noise canceling which works amazing. I did research on these headphones and was comparing these with the newest model. I didn’t try the newest model, but I don’t see why you would pay an extra $100 when these headphones are already so great! I used to have Beats Solo 3, but they stopped charging properly and would only last 30 minutes per charge. These SONY headphones also have options to change the bass and voice of songs based on “mood”. You can set it to relaxed or excited or mellow. The change in sound of the songs is noticeable and it is a feature I enjoy using. Overall I’ve had these headphones for about a month and haven’t had any issues. I would definitely recommend these headphones as they are also super comfy! My beats would make my ears hurt after wearing for an hour, but these don’t hurt at all.

    Do not buy! Sputter then shut off!

    When using these headphones that I bought three days ago, they will begin to sputter and then just shut off. I have tried all of the solutions on the help section of the Sony site and even tried other solutions others have found useful on alternate sites. I am going to return these!

    The head phone stopped charging even with the original charger. I contacted Sony and they haven’t responded. It’s been 3 months and I’m still waiting for a response.

    Horrible Headphones

    Horrible horrible product. Randomly turns off throughout the day even after turning off all additional features. I would return this in a heart beat if I had more than 15 days before the return period ended. I have tried everything to fix them and want absolutely nothing to do with it now.

    Bluetooth Protocol a Joke !!! Dont expect this from Sony, but they prove me wrong ! On basic Handshake Communications! Who would believe ? I wanted to keep these Headphones but after 4 different Headphones Everybody was convinced including Sony that a Recall should be Warranted and Promo Discounts handed out to all Victim Owners !
