Amazing Noise Cancellation and Awesome Music

Pros - Punchy bass and awesome music - Good connectivity to 2 devices and switching between device is flawless (iOS and a mac) - Noise Cancellation is out of the world (Bose do check it out :D ) Cons - Been a bose user all along I feel pressure on my head with the headphones on - Voice quality on phone calls is pretty inferior the receiving person has difficulty hearing me, I have QC35 II and NC700 from Bose on both of them the call quality is fall superior. If Phone call quality can be improved through software update, I would give back the missing star.

To ensure an optimal listening experience, downloading the Sony Headphones Connect app lets you adjust your bass levels and gives you sound quality presets. There is even an EQ in there—which can be customized to fine-tune your music to your liking.
For comfort, try adjusting the headband and the earpads properly. Our WH-1000XM4 has a slider that you can use to adjust the length of the headband to get the best fit and for comfortable listening experience. These headphones actually support super-soft, pressure-relieving earpads in foamed urethane evenly distribute pressure and increase ear/pad contact for a stable fit.
Note: If you put on the headset without adjusting the slider, the headset may not be positioned properly on your head, resulting in discomfort or a weak noise canceling effect. Bought it on sale & bestbuy refused to honor their exchange policy for a new color even though they were the same price on sale & off sale. The box was in its original wrap & never opened. The sound is alright

We regret to hear that it hasn't provided you with the best comfort. Make sure to adjust the headband for optimum fit and comfort. You may be experiencing a symptom called listener fatigue. That is where your eardrums work hard to manage the volume that flows through your ear canal. The louder the volume, the bigger the strain on your eardrums, which then causes the feeling of fatigue. Try lowering the volume or take a break from wearing them for a while. The longer you wear headphones, the more your ears may hurt. You may need to limit your headphone usage.

These headphones have literally changed my experience in listening to music all day on a plane or doing work or just channeling out. I'd probably wear headphones for 45 minutes before taking them off. These bad boys stay on (and play) all day, in a completely immersed world of clean, rich, wow.. (also the battery lasts forever and they're super light).

Great upgrade from Bose QC-II

They are still a great set but i noticed with past updates in firmware the noise cancelling quality was noticably degraded. Unsure if it is marketing with the company to introduce the QC-IIIs & newer 700s or if they nautally degraded overtime. There is a ton of info about this online with others having the same issue. Anyways, the noise cancelling was a reason why i bought them and they weren't holding up. I tried both the 700s and the MX4s in store around the holidays last year and the MX4s were way better in my opinion. I noticed they were on sale yesterday for $249 and I rushed to the store to pick up a set and I'm glad I did. Today they went back up in price! The sound quality for mids/highs is just a little better then my old set but the bass sets it a part. When at high volumes, the bass is way better while still delivering clear mids/highs. The ANC is great.... way better than my old set and better than 700s I tested in store (in my opinion). I love all the other features too like spacial sound, detection when yoy take them off, pausing when yoy talk, hand over cup to talk/hear and location detection for ambient sound and listening preferences. Couldn't ask more for $249 and better than my QCIIs. If you are upgrading from an old set and have similar needs to mine, I think you will be happy.

There is a weird static that happens. I try to have to one device but it still happens. But as far listens to music with my iPhone perfect. I wasn’t interested into the plans they have for the 360 listening , I couldn’t really tell the difference between sound. Noise cancellation is great they are pretty comfortable to in your head . Not so much to wear around your neck though. The speak to chat is a cool feature too.

When the Adaptive Sound Control is set to On, the Headphones Connect app detects your action and adjusts the setting of the Noise Canceling or Ambient Sound Control.
