Went back and forth between the Bose QC35s and the XM3s. Finally decided to get the XM4 based off other tech reviewers. They sound great, light and comfortable.

My music preference is jazz, so I like the clean sound with the tight bass (Sony does have products that cater to those to whom it's all about that bass). From top to bottom, my preference is (and I have all of these): 1. Sony WH-1000XM4 2. Bose NC 700 3. Sony WH-1000XM3 4. Bose QC 25 I do prefer the audible interface of the NC 700 and for that I use them exclusively for television and movies - for all else, it's the Sony. One thing I don't think Sony got quite right is the multiple pairing feature - for me it's been flaky when pairing with certain device combinations (like iPhone and iPad at the same time). Overall, I do recommend them.

I absolutely love these and it’s noise canceling especially for painting or studying. If my current ones broke I would definitely buy them again despite the price. The battery life is excellent as well. I always forget to charge my devices and then only realize until they are at a low percentage but with these, they last me so long without charging them. I’d say about 2-3 days of use for about 4 hours each day which is how I use them.

After realizing how good a pair of solid headphones were I decided to try for the next level. Enter the 1000XM4. The clarity and bass in these really let’s that low guitar grumble and the app with the equalizer is a must have. I was shocked to find out most $300+ headphones don’t have an app that includes an equalizer. If you want great sound, awesome bass, & the ability to customize the eq to fit your type of music I highly recommend these. They really are next level. My only gripe is the sensor that is supposed to stop your music when they are removed isn’t working. I believe it’s a software issue that will be fixed in a future update. If not I’ll just exchange them for new ones because of Best Buy’s excellent exchange policy.

Sound depends on what you are using

I wanted these to use with my boom mic in wired mode for voice calls, but still need to experiment I guess. I then tried connectimg to my galaxy s8, both wired and Bluetooth and found the sound to be OK, still using my s8 for work and music. I then paired to my s20 that I got about 2 weeks ago, and was blown away how much better it sounded than my old phone and wired to my pc. I guess it needs the advance Bluetooth codecs to really shine. They are super comfortable to wear and do an amazing job blocking noise. It is erie how much noise there is around you that you don't even notice until you put these on and take them off! I have a pair of philips fidelio l2 semi open backs that I got for $85 that sound as good, if not better. So if sound quality is your only reason for getting these, look elsewhere you can do better for cheaper. If you want good sound and features, based on pro reviews these are it!

They are a lifesaver on flights, the noise cancelling is some of the best on the market, as is the audio quality. The foldability is another benefit, and they are comfortable to wear over long periods of time. I would even say the foldability and wearing comfort make it better than the XM5 model.

Boose headphones

I wanted something to be loud and clear and motivating when I’m on the treadmill, but I noticed it’s not that loud so I kinda don’t like that part of it other than that I like it’s a nice color it’s lightweight.

These headphones are incredible for the price especially when compared to the newer model. The app that comes with them make them so much better. I used AirPod pros for most of my traveling but the noise canceling on these are so much better and much more comfortable for longer trips.

Nice deep bass. Pretty comfortable. Connect to my Samsung galaxy S 21+ and my Apple iPhone 12 pretty easy.I think they are worth the price.

They’re so comfortable and they’re more affordable. I’ve had them for almost 2 years now, and I still love them so much. Their battery life and sound quality is still good, but my favorite is the noise cancellation and the comfort. It fits around my ears instead of on them, and the ear pieces are so plush and comfortable. As someone who has sensory issues, these are perfect. I got them for grad school and continue to use them often.

Great sound and paired with app makes for a better experience. Fit great and comfortable over the ear, have to get used to the noise cancellation but have worn for hours with no issues. Easy controls and cover to mute function is great

Great on the airplane

Great noise cancellation to block out engine hum and surrounding people. Was helpful for reducing the sound of a crying baby. Also produced good sound quality for airline movies. I still like to use the cable to be able to connect without WiFi and it worked great!

The problem is when I have it connected to my tv, the audio and connectivity will have a delay sometimes and I have to either turn the headphones off or go through the sounds menu back to the headphones again to have it in sync again. Hopefully this is just a blip.
