Best Daily Use Headphones

I work remote but the headphones work great for calls on all types of apps (zoom, google meets, teams, etc) and the ANC blocks off the background noise if you have some family. I only have the occasional connection issues but it isn't anything you can't fix with a quick reset.

I have owned them over 2 years and they still quality is the same since the first day I opened the box. As a matter a fact, theres not a time where I am not in awe from how amazing the sound quality is! I love the ability to be able to simultaneously connect with two bluetooth devices without having to disconnect from one of them. The sound quality, and noise cancelling is superb. There are more features than I really use, but these headphones are exceptionally capable, and easy to use. I don't think they're quite as comfortable as the prior generation (which I also use), the cushion around the ear isn't quite as soft... but some people may like it a little more firm. But that doesn't mean that they're uncomfortable, just not quite a cozy as the XM3. For the money, they're great.

The sound quality is insane

But that’s where you would be wrong they still hold up to be some of the best sounding headphones to date. Also, I know people don’t like to download apps for a lot of things, But the app that works with this pair of headphones Is worth it because of all the features that it holds you can have a custom EQ you can tweak different options in there. The pass-through is really nice as well. There’s a lot of great features.

Just as good as Bose

I like the way it fits and looks. The only thing I like better on the Bose is that when I first turn it on it tells you which device it is connecting to. The Sony doesn’t. Also, I find the Bose easier to connect to a new device. Besides that, I’m very happy with the Sony.

Awesome Quality and Sound!

They have amazing sound quality and almost top tier noise cancellation. The quality is up to par and the battery life is good enough for my usage. The only competition these have are the Bose. Would recommend.

Flash forward a few years and I am a believer! Very comfortable, even for hours on end, sound is great and can now switch between 2 devices. I highly recommend this and since they are (were) on a Black Friday deal @ $298 it is a great deal.

Phenomenal Headphones

The noise canceling on these are phenomenonal. I saw window seat on a Boeing-787 within view of the wing. Enabled Noise Canceling. Did not hear a decibal of that aircrafts engine at all. These are very comfortable as well, I havent experienced ear-fatique

Also, the passive noise reduction is not as good as previous model. I can hear more mid-frequencies coming through the headphones on this model. When I implement the auto-ambient control function I have to tap on the headphones to get the highest amount of noise cancelation from it. Despite what all the online frequency graphs are showing, this version is not as good at canceling higher mid frequencies than the previous version. Could have something to do with the hole for the sensor on the left ear. Don't really need that. I plugged it up, and disabled all the useless onheadphone-controls and keep it wired only. Wish they'd make a wired version, minimal controls, and Wired-only, with superior noise canceling for all frequencies especially ghetto-bass you hear from those stupid lowriders. or Jacked up funky mobiles with loud boom boxes.

We appreciate your in-depth review of the headphones. It's unfortunate that you are not having a complete experience because of the design and noise canceling function.
Make sure to adjust the headband of the headphones to achieve the best fit and comfort.
For optimum performance, make sure that the software version is updated. The noise canceling function is effective in low-frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices. Check that the Adaptive Sound Control is turned off. Check the setting of the Adaptive Sound Control on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. When the Adaptive Sound Control is turned on, the noise canceling function may become insufficient. Hope this helps.

He is a little hard of hearing and has to put the TV up loud. He is also bothered by background noise. I wasn't sure he would like them or use them. HE LOVES them! Hardly takes them off! They are comfortable, block the background noise and he can hear the TV with no trouble. He can easily turn off the noise cancelling to have a conversation. Set up was easy,
