Amazing Headphones!

They are really comfortable too. I can wear them for 8 hours at a time without any problem. And the built in equalizer is awesome. I like my music with a lot of base and this allows you to customize that. And the headphones don't disappoint when it comes to sound quality. They give good, deep bass, and nice, clear vocals.

Once I have these on I focus increases like crazy. The only down side is you can’t really talk on the phone if they’re connected, you sound very muffled but that’s a given

Despite the XM4s not heing sonys newest pair of headphones they still keep up with the quality you qould expect from sony.

Great Sound even on PC

I bought it for work from home. I wear them for hours a day and they are very light and extremely comfortable! The sound is also pretty great for closed back headphones. I ended up buying the FiiO BTA30 as well to connect them to my PC and get true LDAC. I highly suggest picking up both if you want the best quality audio from your PC.

Good sound quality & Noise cancelation

New feature is ability to "auto hear" when mic detects someone talking to you, but I didn't care for that option personally. Must use touch controls to change volume, track, answer. Some people will not like that, but the device looks better without buttons.

better than apple airpod max

Price wasnt really a factor from me. I just need something confortable that will cancel noise effectively. These are much more confortable for long coding sessions compared to the apple product. And half the price! They get a bit warm, but all closed back headphones do. Not much that can be done there. love the portability and carry case

The sound is awesome, the low, the mid and the highs. You hear the bass too. Best part.. clarity. Awesome for everything, except phone calls

I am happy with the sound quality, comfort, and the improvement from XM3 like dual device connection, improved app, etc. The only issue i have is that the mic for phone calls still makes my phone sound muted or robotic, not as much as XM3 but still quite noticeable difference compared to Bose 700 I'm keeping it and will dial in to my conference calls on my phone as PC's bluetooth driver sucks big time.

These new Sony headphones is efficient when listening through your computer and answering calls from your phone without the hassle. During a call, your music is paused from your computer and resumes after finishing a call. Simple as that. Also the comfort is a plus, along with the noise cancellation.

Sony WH-1000XM4 Headphones

Brought my headphones with me to work to see if I could use them in place of my Peltor workman earmuffs, turns out XM4’s have better noise canceling. There are a few annoying features. The app is very Sony, so half the features don’t work and the other half only work some of the time. The touchscreen on the outside of the right muff was cool when I first got them, now it’s just annoying, often increasing/decreasing volume when I want to skip a song. Speak-to-chat is also just a ridiculous feature, can’t use it in public, constantly activates when I’m laying in bed, turns itself back on randomly. It’s classic Sony, awesome tech, miserable software.

But switching between devices isn't as seamless as I hoped, and noise cancellation is also much worse than I had expected. However, they are a very solid pair of headphones overall, and they've kept in good condition for 3+ years and many hours of wear.

Loves the noise cancellation, the best sound quality, and overall great feel and comfortable to wear. Oh yeah, can't forget he loves the touch controls. He wears them all the time. Now I have one complaint. I have to remember when he is in my presence he can't hear me when I am trying to get his attention. Oh well he wins! LOL
