Battery life is pretty decent after one charge. Great headphones and I prepurchased when it first came out, and don't regret it although price went down on it lately. Great Item none the less.

Have not yet tried them on an airplane, but should be nice and quiet. Sound is very good. Can do a number of things; I have yet to learn them all, but they appear to be quite logical. You may be experiencing a symptom called listener fatigue. That is where your eardrums work hard to manage the volume that flows through your ear canal. The louder the volume, the bigger the strain on your eardrums, which then causes the feeling of fatigue. Try lowering the volume or take a break from wearing them for a while. The longer you wear headphones, the more your ears may hurt. You may need to limit your headphone usage.

JUST DO IT ALREADY

After using both for about 2 weeks 8 hours a day for work, I can confidently give my results.... BOSE had the better NC and phone call quality... However, Sony wins on every other aspect you can imagine... Sound quality is substantially better with music and voices in general.. Not to mention you can also adjust the frequencies to your own liking.. The app is a little weird and not every feature is fully explained on the Sony headphones, but I am so glad I got them.. There are already a lot of lengthy reviews but basically between these two, I would go sony every time.. Noise cancelling is amazing but just not quite up to par with bose in my opinion.. There are different reviews stating otherwise but IN AN OFFICE SETTING, I can hear my keyboard when I type having the sony headphones on.. With BOSE, I could not hear my keyboard... However I keep hearing sony blocks more overall frequency but I have just not been in the situation to compare.

Again, if sound is all you care about, these are great noise cancelling headphones that sound fantastic. Now for the issues. These headphones have a few quality of life features. For example, if you're wearing them and you begin walking, it'll turn off noise cancelling. Sometimes. If you tap the right headphone, it'll pause. Sometimes. If you take off your headphones it'll pause your media automatically. Sometimes. There are some great features though a lot of them are unreliable. These features can be turned off via the headphones app if it annoys you. Overall, a solid pair of headphones. I give a thumbs up.

These sony headphones has very good noise cancelling, bass and overall sound. Ive tried many headphones and these are top 2.
