We regret to hear you're not having the best experience with these headphones and you find them uncomfortable during use. This is definitely not the experience we'd like to hear from you. Our WH-1000XM4 has a slider that you can use to adjust the length of the headband to get the best fit and for comfortable listening experience.

Note: If you put on the headset without adjusting the slider, the headset may not be positioned properly on your head, resulting in discomfort or a weak noise canceling effect.

You can also make few adjustments to your headphones settings to suit your needs. We recommend that you download the Sony Headphones Connect app. This will give you more control over your headphones and their performance.

It's also unfortunate that the unit had to be returned. We could've walked you through with some troubleshooting and offer assistance with our product.

We're glad that you like the noise canceling function of the headphones. We regret to hear that you are not having a great experience when using multiple devices. The WH-1000XM4 headphones support Multipoint connection. This means that the headphones can switch easily between two audio sources without needing to go through the normal Bluetooth reconnection process. Make sure to follow the steps on this link:

Hi McRAD, we are truly sorry to hear that you've experiencing this issue with the headphones disconnecting very often. This is not the experience we want you to have. Here are some steps that can help you to have a more stable connection and avoid the inconvenience.
1- Update Firmware: Ensure that your headphones have the latest firmware installed. You can check for updates and install them via the Sony Headphones Connect App.
2- Change the Bluetooth connection: Ensure that the Bluetooth connection quality mode is set to "Priority on stable connection" in the Sony Headphones Connect App
3- Check for possible environmental interference: Make sure that there are no other Bluetooth devices, WiFi router, or other sources of interference nearby that could disrupt the connection

With the Sony Headphones Connect app, you can set up the multipoint function (connecting 2 devices simultaneously) and adjust the sound equalizer (tailor-fit the sound quality to your needs).
