I purchased this specific model based upon a friend's recommendation. He and his brother-in-law swear by them. The goal was to purchase headphones to enjoy hands free operations while on Zoom calls for work. This was a splurge purchase as I did not initially intend to buy high-end headphones. But since I did, I'm very happy that I took advantage of post-Thanksgiving Day sale prices!! :) The headphones are incredibly comfortable. I enjoy listening to YouTube videos and making calls using the Blu-tooth feature. It was so much fun walking around my living room talking to someone while not having to hold a phone!! At some point, I'll return to the office and that's where I'll fully utilize the noise cancelling features. The App is easy to use and the provided instructions are easy to understand. There is also the extra benefit of many useful YouTube tutorials for these headphones. In conclusion, I'm happy using the Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones for Zoom calls and regular phone calls. PS - I chose Midnight Blue because the color reminds me of one of my favorite songs sharing the same name! :)

Great sound and easily adjustable EQ through the Sony Headphones app. Just used it on a several flights and barely even hears the engines from the plane. Very comfortable (4 hour flights) and holds charge well.

I purchase these headphones wanting the spatial audio feature. These as told by the Best Buy geek squad has 360 audio and not spatial audio and they are not the same thing. These headphones seem to focus more on the noise cancellation which work’s absolutely fantastic they muffle so much noise even before you ever even turn on the noise cancellation function. But again that isn’t why I had bought them. The 360 audio only work with 7 different music apps that they recommend to you and (it might work with more was too frustrated to look into all of what other apps, but it has you picking from the 7) which you have to actually pay for a subscription so if your trying to get these headphones for the spatial audio feature go with beats instead. In conclusion they are wonderful if noise cancellations is what you are looking for but do not provide the spatial audio AND.. they give you this short little baby sized cord to charge your headphones with I used my remote as reference but like come on it’s not even a foot long

I have been wanting these headphones for a while and finally picked up a pair. I have been reading reviews online pitting these headphones against the Bose QC35II and the Bose 700. Headphones are so subjective in taste; bass response, sound-field, musicality, timbre and many more ways headphones are evaluated. These headphones really work well for me. I recently used my headphones on a trip and these worked phenomenally on the airplane. The headphones also connected to my smart TV via Bluetooth for late night quiet viewing. These are very lightweight and the ANC is great. These are part of a team of headphones in our home and due to cost, I am very protective of these. I own two pairs of JBL’s and a pair of Beats Studio 3’s that are daily cans. I am still getting used to the app and the different eq settings. I was able to get these on sale which was another plus. I am fully satisfied with my purchase!

This headset has fantastic battery life, exceptional noise cancellation, and is pretty comfortable for long listening sessions. What really sealed the deal for me though is the programmable EQ and wired connectivity option. I’m able to plug these in to either my XBX or PS5 controllers and still enjoy my custom EQ so long as the headset is powered up.

Great Headphones very comfortable sound quality is good. noise canceling is excellence especially during a long flight I did hear anything. sony app is a little tricky to use at first but works well watching youtube first is best. battery life is great nonstop play for a few days before I had to recharge them

Awesome headphones. Feel like they read my mind at points. Noise cancelling is great! Battery has not run out during any of my trips and I travel a lot for work! The option of plugging them in to non Bluetooth devices is also wonderful since airplane entertainment units do not work with Bluetooth. Super comfy, have been fallen asleep with them on! Great buy!

I had been an ear bud user for years, but decided to make the switch to over the ear headphones. There's so many options so I've been going back and forth between the XM4, XM5, and Airpod Max. Finally settled on the XM4! I really like it for the folding mechanism and how compact/easy to carry while traveling! The audio is super nice! I'm sandwiched between noisy upstairs and downstairs neighbors, so I can barely hear them with the headphones on. It's also comfortable around my ears/head. I don't feel too much pressure or get headaches when I have them on for an extended period. Overall, a great pair of headphones! Happy to have snagged this on sale too!

They work and sound great with the exception I am having trouble connecting with bluetooth to my computer. All other bluetooth connections work fine.

I have been looking for headphones I can wear for a couple hours on a plane with comfort. These are solidly around not on the ear. They sound superb with great bass and clarity up high. They support two BT device connections at one time. When you use only one connection it has 360 Reality audio and supports spatial audio from Amazon music and Tidal. It actually is optimized for Tidal's phone app. It measures your ears and outside atmospheric pressure and optimized noise cancelling. The noise cancelling really works well. It also works with Google Assistant and Alexa. Pretty feature packed.

I’m used to AirPods Pro. And I own an old corded pair of the Bose QC 25s. I’m a videographer by trade. I work in a marketing office with two other gals, and when I need to focus, I put these on. I lost my left AirPod pro, and decided I needed a pair of dedicated noise cancelling headphones for the office and so I picked up a pair of these Sony’s. For the first week, wore them strictly in the office, and noticed I could still hear chatter through the noise cancelling. I was disappointed, but they sounded good and it was better than nothing. I heard the AirPods Max are really good at cancelling voices, and I heavily considered switching. Then I wore them to donate plasma at the end of the week! People talking everywhere, machines whirring and clicking, music and TVs all in the background. Tossed these babies on and went to a different world. It was shocking. I started to realize why they’re called the Noise Cancelling Kings. It was a whole nother level. What I learned was: calibrate them to the sound that you want to cancel. Also they cancel big noises better than isolated ones such as a single voice. I kept them instead of switching for the other AirPods. The fast charging is amazing, the noise cancelling is top of class, and they are comfortable to wear for hours on end. BUT! The reason of give 4 stars instead of 5? AirPods Pro are WAY more convenient. Put em in, and they connect automatically. Hold for noise cancelling, hold again for transparency. It just works. And it works WELL. Every time I leave the office with my Sony’s on I have to reconnect them via Bluetooth to my computer. I mean just to go to the bathroom, they completely disconnect from my laptop. Not a problem with AirPods. And AirPods don’t only connect to two devices. iPhone, iPad, laptop, girlfriends phone. All of my devices (not girlfriends also though) are seamless to connect. And so even though I bought these $300 headphones I default to AirPods Pro almost all the time. SO! If you’re an Apple user, get the AirPods Pro. UNLESS you’ve got the exact niche use case that I do. You’ve got ONE unique area that you go to professionally or as a serious hobbyist and you just need quiet while you work. In that case. In my case... Get the Sony’s.

These are great for walking/running/just listening to music. They are comfy on the ears as well. The noise cancelling feature is great too! Easy to use. I actually bought these for my boyfriend to use on the plane when he comes to visits me and it works really well for him!

Amazing sound. I was able to hear instruments to songs that I was unable on other headphones. The fit is super comfortable, and the battery life is great for long trips, etc. Only downside is I am unable to share the app with a friend who has the same headphones to watch a movie while while flying.

If you need noise canceling you’ve found the perfect match. I prefer these over the bose due to comfort and quality. It is also controlled with an app which makes it convenient for turning them off and adjusting the setting to meet your room requirements. The battery life is good for an entire week

Until recently, I've been using a 10-year old pair of (wired) Bose headphones. To be fair, they've served me well, but when my nephew purchased a pair of the WH-1000XM3 headphones last year, I had a chance to try them out. In my opinion, they were much better sounding than my old Bose. I held out from buying a pair though ... until the WH-1000XM4's arrived. I'm so glad I bought these. I'm a bass lover, and these headphones certainly deliver. The vocals are crisp and the dynamic range is great. I use mine with a Galaxy Android phone and the two work together seamlessly. Music pauses when I take the headphones off, and I'm also able to pair it with both my Apple TV 4K and my Fire TV Cube. I recently used them on my first flight (post-covid) and the noise cancelling is excellent. As for the mic ... well, it's clear enough so that I can issue Alexa commands, and it works well for most situations. However, for my work-related Teams calls, I still prefer my older Sennheiser headset with dedicated mic. boom. Overall, well worth the money.

Excellent headphones. The noise cancelling on these is very effective and blocks out around 90% of surrounding sounds. The soundstage is also very wide and the base is very good. Battery life last for multiple days as well

The sound quality and noise-cancelling are fantastic. These are also so comfortable that sometimes I fall asleep with them on while listening to music, meditation, or audiobooks at night when I am having trouble sleeping. But, I mostly use these whenever I fly to calm my nerves. The ONLY 2 negatives of these are: 1. You can't charge them and use them at the same time. (But, if you charge them prior to using, they can be used for several hours.) 2. When you connect to multiple devices (I think two devices is the max) there are a lot of "connected/disconnected" messages. So, it's best to just connect to one device at a time.

Great headphones! Sound, quality and battery life are excellent.
