Worth the money if you listen alot or want it to be quiet. Occasionally the touch surface swipe is misread but I wonder if the headphones just aren't always on straight

I got these instead of the xm5s because they were on sale and my kids have them and said that these are just as good as the 5s

Sony WH1000XM4 Headphones

These were on-sale, had good reviews, so decided to try a pair. Went to Best Buy to look at them and thought they sounded great. When I got home, I realized that the headphones came in a nice case and included a detachable wire so that I could plug directly into the airplanes system, perfect! Now I have the ability to go wireless or wired and have a great sounding pair of headphones.

Best WFH headset

Only con is that the microphones pick up to much outside noise and can be heard within teams calls. The noise cancellation is amazing on planes and while listening to music. Battery life is excellent as well.

Best headphones I’ve ever tried out!

I just wanna say all the hype behind the noise-canceling on these headphones is legit. As soon as you put them on, almost everything goes completely quiet. I reminds me of those hearing test headphones that do those low tone beeps lol, its that good! Oh, and they sound really good too and have a nice build quality!

great ANC headphones

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The durability is what you'd expect (even surpassing) the old saying "you get what you pay for", they're extremely comfortable to wear even for long time periods, and the included case is a continuation of that, especially for keeping cables with the headphones. The sound is absolutely top notch, entering into audiophile levels with bass that should please 99.99999% of ppl (and to use with a few choice non-Sony EQ apps in Android or iOS stores, these *definitely* compete with audiophile levels. The Sony Headphones app is *very* easy to use with a user friendly UI that anyone can navigate/make changes; it's all really self explanatory. Top notch for *any* use...music, podcasts, movies, tv and *excellent* for gaming (too bad the built-in mics can't be utilized, but otherwise makes for *real* immersive gaming I've never before experienced. To use wired with PS4 or Xbox One, the tv or soundbar connected via optical cable actually have more latency than the headphones! Good advantage in FPS games!). The noise cancelling is even better than I read about while researching BTNC headphones to replace my Sony WH-H910N headphones that began having audio probs within 6 months. Being mostly homebound disabled and needing to sleep in the recliner, others can go about their business in early morning without disturbing me in the least as a podcast plays, and even can't hear the woodshop noise of table saw/heavy machinary about 10 ft. behind my recliner throughout the day. The noise cancellation optimizer has proven to be an excellent feature. I was skeptical about some features by some reviews, like sensitivity of auto pause when taking headphones off...but you adjust them as needed without worry; you have to fully take them off as default sensitivity is set. I haven't used much for phone calls, but at least with my LG Stylo 4 sound quality on my end is best I've ever heard from *any* headphones or bluetooth device (the old style pre-smartphone days that came with all phones). I initially bought the Bose QC35 ii Gaming Headset (default QC35 ii's but with a mic included for gaming), and I'm 110% glad I exchanged for these, even if The only real suggestion I would make to Sony (a suggestion, *not* a con) is to put ventillation holes on the inside of the ear cups. Like any over ear headphones they can get a little warm after several hours of use, and having used the Bose QC35 ii headphones for 2 weeks prior to exchanging for these, that did make a noticable difference. Worth every penny...especially if you get them on sale because then the optional 2 year warranty nearly pays for itself.

Best noise cancelling headphones ever!

They are very comfy and nicely built. I truly got to test their noise cancelling during last Pride. Pride is super loud and I got to use the headphones to walk inside the parade taking photos.

Very Nice Headphones

Music sounds very good through them, and I can also wear them to block-out ambient noise when I'm reading. I was able to connect them easily to a Roku TV (via Roku app on my phone) and to both a Sony and a Denon a/v receiver for private listening. The a/v receiver connections were excellent; the Roku, not so much (there was a noticeable audio delay), but I blame the via-app / over-WiFi to Bluetooth connection for that, not the headphones. I recently wore them while talking with my mom (who's hard of hearing) on the phone while out for a walk with the dog in a suburban but, at times, high-auto-traffic area. I could hear her very clearly and she said that she could hear me much more clearly than when I have used my traditional Bluetooth headset on the same kinds of walks.
