A must for students and anyone who likes quietness

I bought them for my class since I kept breaking my EarPods (wired). I highly recommend, especially for students. I had construction going on right outside my window during my lectures and the noise cancelling blocked out the noise allowing me to focus in class including exams! In some occasions I would used them to take naps while construction was still going outside and I was able to sleep comfortably. I consider these headphones to be my BEST investment.

After updating the software it’s had been good so far.

Great performance, not as comfortable as I'd like.

I used the Bose headsets for a long time, it was not too bad. The Bose headset lasted a long time, but they new Sony ones are way better in terms of performance. Why not give it 5 stars. For one the ear holes are small for my ears and the noise-cancelling could be better. The sound is awesome, but for long flights your ears will hurt a bit and the you will still hear people snoring next to you.

With the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app, check the setting of [Ambient Sound Control]. If it is set to [Wind Noise Reduction] or [Ambient Sound], the effect of noise canceling is reduced. Set it to the noise canceling mode. Please check this link for more details:

Drop the coin, worth it

They work better than expected. But I digress. I am a late 40s male and hard of hearing. At first I wanted to turn the volume up louder than these headphones would allow. Then I settled in. It's worth the wait. No outside nose from happy miss yappy pants. The music just sounded better. I've had these for almost a year now, and they work soo great that I kicked the GF, her un ambitioned kid and a yapppy dog out of my house. Yet, I still wear these headphones and enjoy the beautiful sound.

Great headphones, and love the blue

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't sound any different than my old XM3's, but I'm not going to complain about that - still some of the better Bluetooth headphones I've heard. Multipoint alone was worth the upgrade, but the Best Buy exclusive colorway really sets them apart from the tired looking black on copper. The blue's very dark, wouldn't have thought twice if you'd told me it was a Massdrop edition. My XM3's suffered from cracks in the weak point in the headband, supposedly this has been addressed with the new model. Only time will tell. Only real complaint is battery life seems ever so slightly worse than the last gen, but it's still more than a full day of use.

Hard to beat!

Can connect them to two devices at once and it will switch between them automatically if one device stops playing and another starts, so they’re great for music/podcasts while working because they switch to my laptop whenever I get a zoom or teams call. They pair incredibly well with my Sony tv, which allows for great quality listening at night without having to disturb the entire apartment complex (or the spouse/significant other!). Got these on sale and can’t recommend enough. The noise cancelling is top notch too, and the Sony headphones connect app allows for incredible personalization of the sound settings.

The Sony WH-1000XM4 shows just how good a high-end, flagship pair of headphones can sound. Did I say fantastic? FANTASTIC! Get these. No, really, GET THESE!! Or otherwise you will never know what music really sounds like. Now, all I have to do is decide whether to throw away my Powerbeats earbuds, or give them away. I know I will NEVER listen to them again. Not after listening to THESE HEADPHONES. Difference?? Night. And. Day. No wonder these are the top-rated headphones. They are...I really can not explain it, okay. Just BUY them! You will not, definitely NOT regret it. I surely didn't.
