Mixed Bag

Not as comfortable as the Bose 700 but much more comfortable than the B&W PX7. Sound: 3/5 Where's the midrange? Vocals are severely lacking compared to Bose 700. While disproportionate to the mid range, The bass is strong but well controlled. (I did not try equalizing the sound.). More importantly as the lack of a sound stage. As a whole these headphones have the opposite sonic profile of open-back headphones, such as my gold-standard Sennheiser HD 580s. In the end I exchanged the for the Shure Aonic 50s, which have a more open, neutral, and fuller sound. Noise canceling: 3/5 Good at reducing external noise but not quite up to par with the Bose 700. It should be noted that the noise-canceling can exert a fair amount of ear pressure. My wife got totally freaked out by this and literally ripped these off of her head. Lastly, at the highest noise setting there's noticeable audible audio artifacts including very slight "crackling."

There is a Sony App that allows you to adjust the EQ and that has made the sound profile very good. You can also adjust some of the features, like if the headphones go silent when you start to talk Overall these are near audiophile headphones with very competent active sound suppression. The only downside for me is that the ear pads are a little small and tend to get warm. They are not water resistant and the newer 5 series have better sound suppression But is you are cost sensitive these are a great buy when they are on sale

They became pretty flat around 3 months after i git them, but i wore them like 24/7. I dont regret getting them though. I sometimes go all week without having to charge them.

However, my friend suggested me to try this headphone and dang I was surprised. The headphones have amazing sound quality specially base if you compare with bose over the ear headphones. I really like the right ear touch feature to listen outside sound clearly. If you are looking for an amazing quality product, look no further. One con can be that I like the acoustic sound in Bose headphones better. You may have to change the settings to get the best sound for songs with low base.

Very good product

I am very pleased with this product. My only critique involves the ear cup “fingertip” controls: they just aren’t as responsive consistently as I would like. At times they simply “refuse” to respond with the desired action.
