ANC is good, took them on a flight to Vegas and significantly reduce the sound of the jet engine however if your expectation is for the to completely eliminate that is unrealistic. Also, doesn’t do a good job canceling peoples voices, so if you getting them to get piece and quite from your family look elsewhere. Audio quality is excellent and plenty of adjustments available via the Sony app.

Not only are they beautiful but they sound AMAZING!!! I have always been an Airpod person when working out, but my daughter talked me into getting these. I am so glad I listened to her. The ANC is the best in the world really - helps so much with my life in the center of a big city. The sound quality is also superb. The only downside is that I cannot really sleep with it on my head, because if i turn to the right side when laying down, the control panel will be activated.

Sony ruined it

Did not realize that they do this. I have Bose noise cancelling headphones and they do not do that. Only gripe because they are actually good.

What you're experiencing is a feature called Speak-to-Chat. It’s designed to automatically pause your music and let in ambient sound as soon as you start speaking, so you can have a quick conversation without taking your headphones off. We understand it can be unexpected if you prefer to sing along or talk while listening!
The good news is that you can easily turn this off. You can either:
Use the App: Disable "Speak-to-Chat" in the Sony | Headphones Connect app.
Use a Gesture: Place two fingers on the right ear cup touch sensor and hold until you hear "Speak-to-chat deactivated."

It literally surrounds your head with all the depths of the sound. Was torn between this and bose but chose this for price and almost same specs aside from the clearer voices for calls on bose. Caveat is not for gaming or zoom calls, at least in my experience.

Amazing Noise cancelling wireless headphones
