These lack the two files to keep the sound from lagging. So I purchased a dongle that has them and is also a transmitter that the headphones can connect to. Works awesome once you turn the volume down on the Sony's and up using the tv amplifier.

The noise cancellation is remarkable. I wore them on an airplane with two crying babies and slept the entire flight. It can track your movement and automatically changes the type of noise cancellation tones based on your movement, it is so cool.

Fits tighter and doesn't squeak when I put it on. Auto off when you take them off is great. Still fold for small compact package unlike the 5s. I think the battery is slightly less than the 3s but it does more.

Use them when mowing on my rider and can't here the tractor when music is playing. Love the pause feature by touching the outside of the ear muf. Love the carrying case which worked great on the plane. Didn't like the feel of the ear bud and so glad I purchased these as an alternative.

Good noise cancelling, ok software

I got them for travel on a plane to drown out some of the noise. They do a good job of that. They are uncomfortable to wear with a mask as the cups press against the string and after a while, it hurts. Without the mask they are ok. I would imagine any headphones would have that issue these days. The sound is great. I do wish they had the Apple chip in them so they would integrate better with my iPhone.

It would occasionally fall out of place especially if I am doing circuit training that involves heavy movement. FYI Those who are on a budget and looking for a quality and excellent headset the xm3 can still go toe to toe with this xm4, minus some of the features the xm3 can basically do everything what an xm4 can do when it comes to providing sound quality

Used them on a trip to Hawaii need less to say lots of time on an airplane. Easy noise cancellation that made it perfect to either watch movies or take a nap. Quality is better than the aipod over the ears and pro’s.

How can this get any better for the money?

I’ve been involved in a lot of sound system set ups and tuning over the past 30+ years and these things are amazing! These headphones are the closest thing to complete theater sound attached to your head I’ve ever seen. The frequency range is awesome !!!

I love the feature of being able to cup the ear and hear what's going on especially at airports. I love the fact that when you take them off your ears it pauses whatever you're listening to are watching. The only thing that I didn't like about these that I didn't realize at first is when I turn the volume up to listen to something my wife could hear it clearly sitting on the other end of the couch. For me that part defeats the purpose especially when we fly.

Fine headphones, terrible seller (Best Buy)

They have no problem wasting 9+ hours of your time refusing to honor the word of their chat/phone support, and even their "executive resolution" team will acknowledge that the experience is "not what they want for their customers" but still refuse to do anything to make it right. Looking at you "Elida", who had the power to fix this but refused. Don't waste your time with Best Buy, they won't support you as a customer.

I’m a klutz so i’ve dropped them a few times and they work amazingly!! Aesthetically so pleasing too, love the color. I just wish sony soundconnect was more consistent with actually working… but the headphones are great

Thanks for the feedback! While we're glad you like the incredible audio quality and most of the features, we regret to hear you find them uncomfortable during use. Our WH-1000XM4 has a slider that you can use to adjust the length of the headband to get the best fit and for comfortable listening experience.
Note: If you put on the headset without adjusting the slider, the headset may not be positioned properly on your head, resulting in discomfort or a weak noise canceling effect.
