As an iPhone user, I did not expect seamless connectivity but I expected better. Manually selecting the headphones to connect to is an easy solution.

We're sorry to learn the multipoint function on your WH-1000XM4 headphones doesn't work properly with an iPhone and another device. Follow these steps if you don't hear sound from the second device:
When you connect with 2 devices simultaneously with multipoint connection, depending on the connected device, the device may keep sending the silent signal even if the playback of the music or video is stopped. In this case, the headset remains connected with the device, and the connection may not be changed to another device. If the sound from the second device cannot be heard after the playback is stopped on the first device, operate in the following order and check whether the situation has improved.
• Check with the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app that the setting of [Connect to 2 devices simultaneously] is on. (Confirm that both devices are connected in the Device Currently Being Connected section of the app)
• Stop the playback of the application on the first device.
• Shut down the application on the first device.

At least to the standard of Noise Canceling is concerned. The set I have at least a year old and still and great condition. Until Sony or the competition can produce something better, these will remain my goto.

Really wanted to love these ...but

The sound quality was good, but was very disappointed in the ANC. My Bose QC2 still does a better job on this regard. Ended up returning these cans.

I will give Sony this much, the sound is markedly better than my WH-1000XM2 headphones. HOWEVER, the battery life is laughable and the connection with both my computer and my phone is reliable for about 5 minutes at a time. The sound canceling is brilliant, but rendered useless by streaming stability that sucks more than SlingTV. I am embarrassed that I squandered the funds on this overpackaged piece of trash. I am now a freshly-minted Sennheiser customer. It’s a shame there is no zero-star option for these reviews. If you have already ordered these things, CANCEL. Sony gets two middle fingers up for this product.

For the battery life, the usage time varies depending on the setting or how they are used. To conserve battery life, turn off the DSEE HX Auto or Equalizer setting on the Sony | Headphones Connect app. The available battery life significantly decreases when these settings are used at the same time.
