Also, I just tried using them for a work call and the person on the other end couldn’t hear me and what they heard was mostly static. They are too expensive for this experience!

We regret to hear that the call quality and noise canceling function of the headphones haven't lived up to your expectations. Make sure to install the latest software version of the headphones (via the Sony Headphones Connect app) for optimum performance.
The noise canceling function is effective in low-frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices. Check that the Adaptive Sound Control is turned off. Check the setting of the Adaptive Sound Control on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. When the Adaptive Sound Control is turned on, the noise canceling function may become insufficient.

Uncomfortable headband

After all, EXCELLENT noise canceling, loaded with new features, fast charging. However, i didn't like the sound. Not enough bass and this is coming from what I'm used to on the XM2. More importantly, the comfort for me was TERRIBLE. Its the foam at the top of the headband. Its a little too hard. After a few days, i started to get a headache and immediately went back to my XM2 because they had softer headband cushioning on top. Its s shame. Such great headphones in all other aspects. Returning for a refund

I would like to note that there are options to improve your overall listening experience, by downloading the Sony - Headphones Connect APP. There is an equalizer to fine-tune your music.
And as a suggestion, to reduce discomfort while wearing the headphones, try adjusting the headband and the earpads properly. These headphones actually supports super-soft, pressure-relieving ear pads in foamed urethane evenly distribute pressure and increase ear/pad contact for a stable fit.
