He studied the features of different brands and ultimately chose this one. So far he has been super happy with it. He is in college and studying from home, so a head phone is a must have item. I thought price was too high, but similar products with the similar quality was around same price range. So I stayed with his choice.

Great upgrade from the WH-1000XM2

The tips of my ears would get sore after a couple of hours or so. The XM4 has improved cushioning, fitting a lot better around my ears. The multi-point feature took a bit to set up, but once it was up and running, it was great switching back and forth between my phone and laptop.

I had beats headphones before but the sound quality wasn’t there. These headphones feel like I’m at a concert. You can control the sound quality on the Sony app which is a great tool. I am thrilled with the quality. There are more advanced headphones on the market, but I don't think the cost is worth the bells and whistles they provide. Good ANC + sound but uncomfortable

Their main advantage, though is the noise cancelling. The only thing is, they're uncomfortable after wearing them for a little while. I would also not recommend this item if you need to switch smoothly between devices. You have to manually disconnect from the other device before you can use the other.
