Great noise cancelling

They do a great job of blocking out all the noises in the house and letting me enjoy my late night movie watching. I don’t notice any lag in the dialogue. A single press of the Power button while using them lets you know how much battery life is left. After spending an evening/night watching movies I have yet to get it to drop below 50%.

Perfect for work

She charges them about once a week and they last her. She even brought them on vacation to distract herself during my driving shifts. Love love LOVE the color. In fact I accidentally ordered the black and had to return them and get the blue.

Good headphones

The noise cancelation is very effective and it makes the music experience enjoyable. I don't have any complaints about it. I use it all the time for studying, doing errands, gym and much more! I highly recommend these headphones. Also the battery life is SUPER LONG. It takes a very long time for the headphones to die which I really like.

the best headphones i’ve ever owned.

WORTH THE PRICE !!!

Clamping is just enough pressure to keep them from falling off. Sturdy, but lightweight enough I have forgotten I have them on. I’d sleep in them if I was not a side sleeper. Only downside is the crazy short charging cable. However, if your cellphone uses the same type of charging cable, you’re fine. A bit pricey, but I regret NOTHING. Skip Bose and grab these. (Sorry, Bose. I still love you, but your headphones hurt my head and “crunch” too much when they flex.) I purchased the Midnight Blue pair. Very pretty color.

Improvement over XM3

I find it more comfortable on my oval head than the XM3. I welcome the chat feature, multipoint Bluetooth and auto pause that activates when removing the headset. None of these are essential, but really convenient. Collectively they make the upgrade very worthwhile for me. The sound quality seems a little better but I need to study that more. Ear cups better because a little larger and perhaps lighter. Passing the XM3 down to my son, who will think he has struck gold.

Budget Friendly Option

They bring tracks that I have listened to countless times to life and shine a light on details that I never noticed before. That may sound poetic lol but it’s true! They’re very comfortable, although my ears get a little warm while wearing them inside where there’s air conditioning. However, these are my first over-the-ear headphones and maybe that’s the way it is with all of them? Call quality is not very good so if that’s very important to you I would consider other options. The app interface and customizable settings are great, and so is the ability to connect to two devices simultaneously. Highly recommend.

I whole heartedly agree! If you are looking for quality of sound and "bass" ...look no further. The noise cancelling is great! The battery life is insanse ...no regrets at all.

Tune Out the World!

They are comfortable enough that I can wear them all day and no issues with my head or ears. Some great features to where I can pause and play video by tapping the right earphone and allow me to hear my wife or kids speak if I leave my hand the right ear phone. The only thing I don't like is that it is somewhat a task to connect via bluetooth. I would think that it should be easier to connect and reconnect with different devices. All around are a great pair of NC headphones!

The Best Wireless Over Ear Headphones even NOW!!!

They are comfortable, sound great and the noise canceling is top notch! But, again, this is just MY opinion. But if you REALLY want to get to the nitty gritty, I think that the Sony WH-1000XM3’s were the best out of all of them historically. But for NOW near 2023, it’s the Sony WH-1000XM4’s!!! Even better if you can get them for sale!

Great, but...

Got a long battery life too. The feature where it pauses the music when you speak is, however, the most annoying thing on the planet. I spend a few hours trying to figure out how to turn it off before just calling support and figuring it out from there. The hands free audio when you're connected to multiple sources on the computer is also kind of annoying as the hands free audio is (compared to the normal audio) complete garbage. I got around this by simply disabling the hands-free audio sound device on my computer and it worked just fine (with 2 or less programs).

Great headphones! Just one problem..

There is an issue that arises with extended use, or more specifically, extended use with too much pressure on the earcups. Earwax manages to penetrate all the way to the active noise cancellation chip, leading to an incredibly loud, annoying, and seemingly never-ending high pitched ring. The problem can be solved by taking apart the headset but it’s inconvenient. Apart from that, the ANC and audio quality are everything you could expect at this price point.

Great Features Okay Sound

There are many things that Sony does right with these. First of all, the active noise cancelling is phenomenal. Fans, vacuum cleaners, and dog barking are blocked by these. The features in the app are plentiful. Adaptive sound control, noise canceling optimizer, 360 reality setup, equalizer and much more. Sony truly allows its costumers to alter it to their liking. There are lots of other reasons these headphones are great but it does lack in sound quality. It's not that the quality is bad but the mids and highs aren't as crisp as I'm used to. I attribute that to the emphasis in bass. If Sony were to focus on a balanced sound it'd blow every competitor out of the water.
