While we are glad you like the sound quality and noise canceling features of the WH1000XM4, we're sorry to hear that the headphones was returned due to discomforts while wearing the unit and pairing issues. Adjusting the headband and the earpads properly can help reduce discomfort while wearing the headphones. Multipoint is a function which allows you to connect 2 Bluetooth devices to the headset and use one device for music playback (A2DP connection) and the other for calls. Making sure that software is updated as it includes key features, applications, bug fixes, and feature improvements and multipoint connection is turned on using the Sony Headphone|Connect app may help resolved the issue.
