He studied the features of different brands and ultimately chose this one. So far he has been super happy with it. He is in college and studying from home, so a head phone is a must have item. I thought price was too high, but similar products with the similar quality was around same price range. So I stayed with his choice.

Great upgrade from the WH-1000XM2

The tips of my ears would get sore after a couple of hours or so. The XM4 has improved cushioning, fitting a lot better around my ears. The multi-point feature took a bit to set up, but once it was up and running, it was great switching back and forth between my phone and laptop.

I had beats headphones before but the sound quality wasn’t there. These headphones feel like I’m at a concert. You can control the sound quality on the Sony app which is a great tool. I am thrilled with the quality. There are more advanced headphones on the market, but I don't think the cost is worth the bells and whistles they provide. Too big for my head and very heavy

But I had to return them because I am a woman (pretty normal size) and they didn't adjust to be small enough to fit my ears, so they pressed on my ears at the top and made them sore after only about 3 minutes of wear. They were also way too loose to use for the gym.

Good ANC + sound but uncomfortable

Their main advantage, though is the noise cancelling. The only thing is, they're uncomfortable after wearing them for a little while. I would also not recommend this item if you need to switch smoothly between devices. You have to manually disconnect from the other device before you can use the other.
