I have never tried any in this class or more expensive so I can’t compare except to cheap headphones & earbuds. These are much better. I like the noise cancelling. I had very close neighbors who would fight a lot and windows were open in nice weather. This blocked them very well. They are gone. I still love the phones. I listen to mostly classical music and oldies from 60’s. I think the music sounds good. I can well distinguish individual instruments in classical music, making it very beautiful. I’ve had these over 2 years and still love them.

They are comfortable on your ears and block out almost all sounds. I can not even hear when someone knocks on my door,. I would buy again when I need a new pair

Great battery life, excellent sound quality, and on long flights with kids it did it's job swimmingly. I will say the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that Sony or BBY keep fluctuating the price and I'd purchased them full price making it weird to recommend. Def a must buy if on a solid sale.

Overall good headphones

But switching between devices isn't as seamless as I hoped, and noise cancellation is also much worse than I had expected. However, they are a very solid pair of headphones overall, and they've kept in good condition for 3+ years and many hours of wear.

Great GYM and daily headphones

The sound is amazing and it makes me feel like im in my own little bubble with the supberb ANC. Keeps me focused. I wear these 2-3 hours at a time with no comfortability issues or ears overheating.

Noise cancelling feature is great, helps to keep the noise down much more in this family setting I am in (kids, dogs, ect). My biggest positive is the charging and battery life. You charge this thing for 5 minutes and I swear it can still last you for two full days!

Only con is that the microphones pick up to much outside noise and can be heard within teams calls. The noise cancellation is amazing on planes and while listening to music. The Sony hides more noise than the Bose and I could tell during an 8 hr plane trip....yes....I wore both during the trip. The Bose are great, but these cancel more. They encapsulate your ears slightly better. HOWEVER...the Bose sound better, more crisp, better sound clarity. You can get a similar sound profile if you edit the profile in the Sony App by increasing the mids and a little on the highs. Also, I was not a fan of the touchpad sensitivity and area of activity. The Sony use the entire surface so hoodies, hair, pillows, etc activated the controls. On the Bose, the active area is infront of the headband bar which acts as a sort of barrier. At the end, Bose are my go-to because they are superior in comfort, sound and everyday cancellation. The Sony's are my travel ones....since I went past my return window :)

Comfortable and noise canceling

Great ANC, better app with EQ, and USB-C, because we're 2020....Touch Controls remain top notch and a relatively conservative sleek design perfect for both business and casual environments. The custom ANC button is cool. Only gripe is having to hold power to turn on/off, and the microphone is still pretty terrible. Dropping aptX + aptX LL/HD was also a seriously questionable move, but at the end of they day, it's still bluetooth codec so the quality isn't going to be on par anyways. Sound's passable from a regular viewpoint and downright awful from an audiophone. Of course, you're here for ANC and not something like Senn 6xx so we can gloss over the sound quality.
