I found that the bose headphones did a good job in the noise cancel department but really did not impress when it came to music playback. These sony's have done it all and stand above all others in striking that balance point. Overall these headphones are fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone looking for bluetooth, wireless, noise cancel, headphones that don't sound like muddy bose's.

Best headphones!

Out of all the new Sony headphones, these are by far the best. Bose were terrible and other Sony models we tried were crap, even the more expensive ones. There are where it’s at! Noise canceling is perfect. Sound leakage is minimal, sound is great

The sound is incredible as advertised and a great deal at Best Buy . Highly recommend this headphone if still available. May look into the 1005 in near future.

Either one will be a great buy. Just went with the xm4 beacuse i do like the look a bit better

Good sound quality, ok for calls.

The sound quality is amazing. I bought these for both music and conference calls and I have found microphone is not that great for calls unless it is plugged in. Also, sound cancelling tends to make it difficult to hear your own voice, so I've noticed myself shouting when talking on the phone. Overall, they are great, but for the cost I was hoping for a more versatile head set.

The noise cancelling is great, the color is great but the flaw for me again is the cost. I would personally buy some beats or airpods over this but if you need some headphones that exclude airpods and beats, this is a solid option.
