Junky headphones with too many bells and whistles

I wore them for 2 months, not even daily, and one of the ear cups snapped off just from removing them off my head. Sony warranty does NOT cover physical damage and they want me to pay hundreds of dollars to repair their poorly made product. On top of that any time you try to slightly adjust the ears, settings get messed up and your music will pause. The noise cancelling feature also kicks on and off at random times. These just do not make for a great listening experience and they are not well made. You're better off getting a cheap pair of SkullCandy. At least when they break you're not out $500+. Do not buy this product.

Thank you for the review and we're sorry to hear what happened with your headphones. The WH-1000XM4 comes with a 1-year limited warranty. The warranty provided by Sony is for initial failures if more than troubleshooting is needed. This does not include any physical damage made to the unit. Worth the money! Noise canceling is awesome. Pretty scary when commuting though because I couldn't hear anything outside of the headphones. Plus the color is chic!

I work in a very load environment, and can use them during the work. They the best you can possibly get for that purpose, and I have tried few more well known brands the most expensive models. This Sony model is the best as of today 08/2022

New motion detection sensor allows you to pick up music playback after you remove the headphones and put them on again. Noise cancellation is about 40% better, more isolated from environment. The only issues are that the bass is not as deep as the XM3's and the XM4 app is a little different then the XM3 app- the lack of sound position control and sorround (VPT) settings hinders the customization options.

The sound quality is just as good as more expensive options, and I prefer it over the XM5 since it can fold. The only issue is that the it pauses too long after a conversation.
