Good sound but lacking function

Would not have purchased had I realized newer model removed features of older model I had.

My Favorite Headphones

They work great for listening to music or audio books. They are also great when I have a meeting so I don't have to use the computer speakers. They fit great and don't make my ears feel gross.

Found them on sale and couldn't pass them up. I'm sure the newer model is slightly better, but the cost savings makes buying these the better decision. Sound is good and ANC works well. Case was nice.

The noise cancelling is best in class on these sony xm4s. If your on the fence they are the best period. Buy them trust me.

Very good product.

Very good sound quality, decent mic quality, and very good noise-cancelling. I like the feature that pauses audio/video when the headphones are removed, and resumes when placed back on.

Easy to pair once the app is installed. Not quite as comfortable as the Bose but the sound is incredible. Range is good and fairly easy to use. The feature that shuts off the music/sound if you start talking is helpful but it will also shut off if you laugh. The only reason it doesn't get five is that it's not really comfortable for longer periods of time such as a couple of hours. Great for airplane travel.

The Speak-to-Chat mode activates when it detects the speech of the person wearing the headset, but in rare cases, it may activate in response to the voices of other people, ambient environmental sounds, transportation announcements, etc. Disable Speak-to-Chat in cases where the Speak-to-Chat mode frequently activates by accident.
Your feedback about its comfort is greatly appreciated. Make sure to adjust the headband of the headphones for optimum fit and comfort. Thanks for sharing your review and for choosing Sony!

Sony Xm4 review

This headset has very good sound quality along with very high quality noise cancelation. Overall, I enjoy its uses on commuted on public transit or just listening at home. For the price, I see it as more of a novelty and luxury than necessity. If you have the extra dollars and are looking for a nice headset, I'd definitely recommend however.
