The noise cancellation was perfect for my plane ride and I could hear my show without no disturbances.

Really nice.

As usual with noise-cancelling headphones, the soundstage isn't very wide, but the tones all come through nice, even, and clear. I would say the noise cancelling sounds like having normal in-ear gummy earbuds, or putting your fingers in your ears.

And to ensure you're getting the optimal noise canceling experience, please try to follow the guidelines and troubleshooting steps below:
Make sure that the noise canceling function is turned on.
Adjust the headset into a comfortable position.
Check that the Adaptive Sound Control is turned off.
Check the setting of the Adaptive Sound Control on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. When the Adaptive Sound Control is turned on, the noise canceling function may become insufficient.

I returned them for these Sony’s. BEST DECISION EVER. I can’t hear them at all. The Sony app is also more seem less than Bose.

Excellent for noise canceling, mics OK.

I would have given them 5 stars but the only drawback was the mics. When placing calls, the receivers of the calls mentioned that I was not as clear as a previous set of headphones from another brand. Still, these headphones are by far one of the best I have owned.

The batteries last a fair amount of time and charges quickly. I also have a Bose 35 and either one is good. I say....always try the ones you are looking for and get the one that you like.

Decent app that allows for equalizer adjustments. Not as seamless with Bluetooth connections as Apple AirPods. Would have preferred dedicated buttons to the trackpad style gestures.

Was up for upgrading my QC35 II and debating over this and the Bose 700. The new Sony WH-1000XM4 wireless headphones is a clear winner compared to other noise cancelling headphones in the same price range.

Great upgrade!

I upgraded from the 3s and even though feature wise the changes aren’t drastic, it was enough to prompt me to buy these on sale. What really has me over the moon is that the ear cups are slightly larger than my older ones making them much comfier to wear.

I always prefers the over-head earphone as it provides a better sound experiences and noise cancelling quality. The noise cancelling was amazing especially in the airplane which helps me a lot.
