Great Headphones before they broke down

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was happy when I first got these headphones, great audio quality and the ability to connect to two sepearte sources if I wanted to was a plus. NFC Support was also something that mattered to me. I am also a fan of Flac audio and this with it's low compression blue tooth technology made it really stand out. Carrying case and proper cables also a plus. Now the reason I like to wait a few months before leaving reviews. This thing just won't hold a charge anymore. Originally I thought it was my power adapters, but it was like that on 3 different ones. I plugged it into my laptop straight usb C to usb C, started to charge, I unplugged it to check it's battery life, got to 90%, Plug it back in and it's refusing to charge again. Not acceptable for the price I paid for these. Only reason I upgraded from the previous generation was they got stolen out of my car. If you do buy these, I recommend the protection plan as it will save you from dealing with the manufacturer. I will be cashing mine in very soon!

Class leading noise cancellation

These have kept everything I loved about the prior units and, improved in a few small areas, such as multiple Bluetooth connection capability.

sound options great/ NC not quiet as advertised

The extra bass boost is also great for ear. However, the Nosie cancelling feature is not as good as advertised. I believe Bose NC 700 noise cancelling level of 10 is better than this. I already compared this in NYC subway. Bose noise cancelling is way better. However, you can choose sound options on SONY through app.

We're glad that you like the sound quality of the headphones. It's unfortunate that the noise canceling function is not living up to your expectations. Make sure to install the latest software version of the headphones (via the Sony Headphones Connect app) for optimum performance.
The noise canceling function is effective in low-frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices. Check that the Adaptive Sound Control is turned off. Check the setting of the Adaptive Sound Control on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. When the Adaptive Sound Control is turned on, the noise canceling function may become insufficient.

Great headphones

I bought them to use when I’m traveling in my motor home which has a lot of road noise. But have since used them when working out and on an airplane. They are easy to use have great sound and definitely cut out all of the extra noise

Only thing I hate is having to wear a diaper. The headphones are very beautiful like that girl who looked at my yesterday at Best Buy. I think she likes me. Mine have the reverse noise cancelling. Nobody can hear what I’m listening to. Great!

Excellent noise cancelling headphone.

Comparing to my old Bose QC35, this headphone fares better in term of sound quality and features. I am still not use to using gestures to control the headphone. The phone automatically detects when I talk and stop the music. In a noisy environment, this features mistook someone else talking next to me, sometimes does not work well and stop my music when I am not even talking. Kind of annoying.

Your feedback about the Speak-to-Chat function is greatly appreciated. The Speak-to-Chat mode activates when it detects the speech of the person wearing the headset. In places with a lot of noise, the speech of the person wearing the headset may not be detected, and the Speak-to-Chat mode may not activate. If this is the case, speak longer and louder. In some cases, in extremely noisy environments such as a train station or airports, the Speak-to-Chat mode may not activate even when speaking longer and louder.
Note: By changing the sensitivity of the automatic audio detection in the Sony | Headphones Connect app, the Speak-to-Chat mode can be easier to activate. Unfortunately, this may also activate accidentally the Speak-to-Chat in response to the voices of other people, ambient environmental sounds, transportation announcements, etc.

Best Headphones to Date!

The noise cancellation on these are amazing!! Perfect for traveling, walking the busy streets, or simply listening to in your own home. I have always been a Bose person, but these are better than the Bose 700 in my opinion.

A real stand out.

I've never owned a wireless set that reproduced sound so well. I don't generally gush over things in reviews but Sony has a real accomplishment here. It hearkens back to the audiophile reputation Japanese companies had through the 80s.

amazing ANC

Best Headphones I’ve Ever Had
