Sony Quality as Expected

Also if you cough or clear your throat. It can be frustrating. I have utilized them for watching TV, music and Video watching. They are comfortable and do not get hot too quickly. I would purchase them again and recommend them to a friend.

To turn the voice guidance on/off, please install the Sony | Headphones Connect app on your smartphone. Select [Notification & Voice Guide] from the Dashboard to set the notification and voice guidance to be heard from the headphones.

Would’ve kept if they were cheaper!

(I own expensive stuff I don’t mind spending money on quality). They feel easily breakable and not super comfortable on the ears. Sound quality pretty good in to comparison to Bose and beats. Noise cancellation is really awesome although I notice a high pitch sound that kind of makes the cancellation not as satisfactory.

I got mine on sale and it is just great! I will say the only annoying part is having to download the Sony app to pair it to my phone. Other than that I am pleased with it!

Decent but not great

These are massively overpriced. Semi-decent noise control, but not very effective. The noise cancelling is unequal between the right and left side, which makes it feel like one of my ears is plugged up somehow. The app is useful only in that I could tell it to stop switching to ambient sound every time I stood up- that was obnoxious. So, okay but far too pricey at full price for what I received. Skullcandy was far better imo

We take customer feedback seriously and what you've described, particularly the imbalance in noise canceling between the right and left earcups, is something we'd like to help you with. That definitely isn't the experience we want for our customers.
A good first step to address that uneven noise canceling is to try the "NC Optimizer" function in the Sony | Sound Connect app. It's designed to optimize the noise canceling based on your head shape, hairstyle and even whether you're wearing glasses. Just put the headphones on, open the app, and look for the 'NC Optimizer' option. It should only take a minute or two to run.
If that doesn't solve it, sometimes a quick reset can help with these kinds of issues. To reset your WH-1000XM4 headphones, please follow the instructions on this link: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/wh1000xm4/v1/en/contents/TP0002752743.html
