We are sorry if you feel uncomfortable using it after a couple of hours. The WH1000XM4 has a self-adjusting headband and soft cushioned earcups that cover the whole ear. You may try adjusting the headband slider so that they cover your ears. This will help give you more personalized comfort.

Great sound but flawed design.

Sony does not cover this under their warranty even though it is a design flaw. cheap plastic that WILL eventually wear and break off. I cannot recommend them for this reason. everything else is great about them.
