comfortable for long wear. the noise cancelling is about what everyone says it is. blocks out about 80-90%, some frequencies still come through, but overall the average person wouldnt notice. very comfortable for long period wear. battery life is more like 20-24 hours but charges quick. wouldnt recommend them for any active like going to the gym since they're not waterproof, but for everyday uses and travel its the best price to performance set of headphones.

I absolutely love these headphones. The sound quality is unbelievable and the bass is just as good as everyone else says. They’re extremely comfortable for long wear and don’t make your head or ears sweat like past headphones did for me. Would totally recommend even with the XM5s out.

Best noise cancelling and sound quality in the business that I have heard. I work in a noisy machine shop and this will kill the drone and angry screeching sounds of metal being cut. Helps me concentrate on my work and also tune out my sons video games or youtube at home. Very comfortable and battery life has been great. The EQ with the app along with adaptive listening settings gps tag your locations to dial in correct amount of ambient noise or full noise cancelling depending on how you register the location. For example at work I use full noise cancelling, walking, i set to wind reduction, home some ambient noise depending how loud my son is blasting youtube in the living room. Also has a feature that when you start talking it cuts noise cancelling while you can conversate with someone then it will resume music or movie after you stop talking for a bit or double tap right ear phone to resume play. Have to give a great big thanks to love of my life my wife who bought me these for our 15th anniversary.

The Sony XM4s are great sounding noise canceling headphones. They’re comfortably fit around my ears for hours. The main positive is its weight. I really only downside is the controls to pairing and unpairing is difficult.

Sony has been in the audio industry Since 1950’s, and it shows. Before buying these headphones, I tried on a similar pair for double the price, the AirPods Max, which had great noise cancellation, decent base, but lacking customization and portability. This is where the Sony headphones triumph over apple, the headphones come with their own app where you can customize the EQ and button functionality. They get regular updates, the comfort makes it so you can wear these for a long period, or until the long lasting battery runs out. Not to mention the traveling case with a plane adapter and pc adapter to use. These headphones are meant to travel with their user without being scared to break the bank for great audio and industry standard noise cancellation.

If these are your first "premium" headphones, you will be impressed. If you are moving up from other models, you will ALSO be impressed. I own a few models of Sony headphones, and these are the flagship for a reason. Even moving up from the M2 of these was night and day. I also own the WF-1000xm3 earphones, and this is that much better. NC is next level, ambient noise mode is greatly improved, and the comfort is smooth. USB-C charging is a great standard, but the big draw is multi connection bluetooth. I never thought I would use it until I was watching a show on my tablet, and it paused the show and rang through from my cell phone. Seamless. App support is fully there, and even has Sony's "lossless" upscaling format. Battery life seems great so far, and it comes with a semi-hard case. Can be plugged in to 3.5mm wired plug, including a dual prong airplane adapter.

These headphones are amazing, the noise cancelling function is great. I have loud roommates and it blocks out literally ALL of the deep-pitched noises, such as doors/ cabinets slamming, traffic etc. They literally are an indispensable part of my life where I live, as low-pitched booming noises bother me the most. They don't block very high pitched noises a ton, but that doesn't bother me at all. The sound quality is very good too, so good I now watch all my movies and play all my games with these. The cost is a small price to pay for the vast quality-of-life improvements this pair of headphones has given me. I was fortunate enough to receive a pair that hasn't had a defect or the "wind noises" or anything. Try not to sweat in them as I heard moisture can cause this, it's not Sony's fault, they didn't design them for wet conditions. Would recommend 100%, they will block many stressful noises in your life, and I can't even go back to my wired headphones now

I got these after my xm3's died, they surpass the previous generation in every way. Easy setup, good range, excellent sound quality, and the battery is pretty good too!

These are so comfortable to wear, they are lighter than Bose, and the technology in the app allows you to customize your equalizer via a quiz so you get your preferred sound. Love the talk function. However, not the best for phone calls unless you’re inside in a very quiet environment. I wear these while out running errands a lot and were fabulous on a very long road trip recently. The battery lasts quite a while too. Very impressed. Connecting to more than one device was a little convoluted but I got there.

The sound quality is amazing. I my opinion, it's a really balanced sound. The bass isn't overwhelming, nice mids and highs. These made listening to HiFi music on Tidal a whole new experience for me. I'm not going to call these audiophile headphones but the sound quality for the price is really hard to beat. The build quality is nice and the app is user friendly. I'm already in Sony's ecosystem with my earbuds and I like the fact that it saves settings for multiple headphones/earbuds. The noise isolation is AWESOME! The ANC doesn't seem to have any effect on the sound quality unlike other headphones/earbuds with ANC. I noticed on my Bose earbuds, the ANC kinda messed with my equilibrium while the Sony's don't. IDK if that makes any sense but when I activate the Bose ANC it's like a similar feeling to ears popping on an airplane. I was originally thinking it was just between over the ear versus earbuds but my WF1000XM3's also don't, so it must be something Sony is doing different than Bose and others. My only 2 complaints are they aren't as secure on my head as other headphones. If I'm completely upright they're fine but if I lead forward or backwards they shift in either direction so working out with these is a no go and laying in bed with these is a little annoying. My other complaint is that they randomly turn off. I've chatted with Sony's tech support, done resets, but it still happens from time to time. Hopefully an update will fix this issue. It's few and far between so it doesn't bother me too much BUT it's still irking when it happens. I had similar issues with my WF1000MX3's but that problem went away after a few updates so fingers crossed. Overall, these are great. The pros out weight the cons in my opinion.

Beautiful piece of engineering. You can feel a gush of easy feeling the second you turn on the noise cancelling feature. Absolutely no issues when connecting to my phone as people hear me clearly, unlike my other supposedly noise cancelling ear pods from Spidoc. They are also very comfy with very long battery life. Great for long plane rides. Only reason for not giving it 5 stars is its price.

This has been some of the best headphones I have ever had. There is adaptable noise cancelling which does wonderful work. I also love the bass. I wear them all the time and am able to because of the long battery life!

These headphones are amazing. I was hesitant on buying such expensive headphones but after reading a lot of online reviews I decided to take the plunge. I took a flight from the US to Europe and including layovers these were used pretty much the whole time and the battery was still sitting pretty. Now on to the sound quality. WOW. These are the best headphones I've ever experienced. You can definitely tell the quality that goes into these. The one downside is there isn't much true 360 music out there and that was a bummer. I tried the different services they suggested but in the end cancelled them all. However, even with a lack of music this is still a phenomenal headphone. No pain from wearing them, the tuning for my ears was great, the ability to talk and the music shut off was fantastic, and I enjoyed what all I experienced.
