They let me feel like I'm in my own person bubble. My only gripe is how sensitive the speak to chat feature is. If you were to breathe slightly harder then it would activate

We are sorry if the Speak-to-Chat function of these headphones didn't meet your expectations. The Speak-to-Chat mode activates when it detects the speech of the person wearing the headset, but in rare cases, it may activate in response to the voices of other people, ambient environmental sounds, transportation announcements, etc. Disable Speak-to-Chat in cases where the Speak-to-Chat mode frequently activates by accident.
You can also change the sensitivity of the automatic audio detection in the Sony | Headphones Connect app.
The WH-1000XM4 is a new design, with intelligent and intuitive Ambient Sound Control features that include improvements to Multipoint connection and our industry-leading Noise Cancelation, exceptional sound quality, and Smart Listening that adjusts to your behavior and location. Calls sound great even when walking in busy city streets. The mic is always clear and blocks out street noise very well when talking.

Bluetooth issues

Overall great headphones extremely comfortable and stylish. It's currently November 2022 and the headphones continues to disconnect from Bluetooth. Will be returning these.

unecessarily annoying experience

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.These are the best headphones I've ever had, or they would be if the announcer voice and button press beeps weren't 3-4 times the volume I listen at. They have amazing sound, and amazing noise cancelling but every time you press any button for any reason you receive a sonic bee sting. I tried to power through it but I've given up on these headphones and sony as well because both sets of sony headphones I have do the same thing with no ability to turn it off. I feel bad for hating on these for such a petty reason but there is literally no reason I shouldn't be able to turn off the announcer or beeps.

Sound is very marginal

The noise cancelling and comfort is very good. These are very disappointing for a $350 set of headphones. Also the controls are not quite as user friendly as you would hope for.

Excellent But For Bluetooth Connectivity

Only 2 connected systems at the same time allowed and switching between these is not user friendly. I was also hoping that connection to a high end sony tv like a1e will be a bit easier and also user friendly. Bluetooth operation on these excellent in general phones is like texting on flip phone experience.

Excellent Headphones

They are still a top tier noise cancelling headphone. Until the XM5's came out, they were considered by many the best on the market. At the new cheaper price you can not beat the XM4's for quality and function. I love these headphones.
