Sound Quality Great, But Lots of Issues, Not Easy

Had to research how to keep them from turning off noise cancelling. Then they developed an annoying rattle. Have had better luck with Bose.

For noise or rattling issue, temporarily turn off the noise canceling function on the Headphones Connect app then turn it back on. Also, please make sure that the firmware is up to date. You may also try to initialize the headphones if these steps didn't resolve the issue.

Their build quality is excellent and with proper maintenance, these headphones can last for a long time. Here are some tips on how to keep your Headphones in mint condition, and extend the life of your Headphones.
Tip 1. To avoid cracking or peeling of the earpads due to long term contact with bodily fluids e.g. sweat, hair oil or other body oil, always clean them by wiping it with dry soft tools such as cotton swabs, balls, or pads. Avoid using any sharp or potentially damaging materials or tools.
Tip 2. If the Headphones is particularly dirty, soak a cloth in diluted mild detergent, then wring it before wiping the surface of the Headphones. Note: Do not use solvents such as thinner, benzene, or alcohol when cleaning the earpads.
Tip 3. Always store your headphones in a case or protective bag when not in use.

Cuts out

I could do without Google assistant and Alexa capabilities. Noise canceling with no music is not perfect. Should be totally silent and it's not.

Excellent sound quality

They are very comfortable and can be worn for a long time without discomfort and the mic works great for my Team meetings. The controls are easy to use, and connectivity has never been an issue. A bit pricey, but you do get a quality product. Highly recommend

Broken: High Pitched Ringing in Right Ear Cup

High pitched ringing noise in the right ear cup that is so loud that it could cause damage to your ear. I strongly suggest you getting a warranty from where you buy them because this really sucks. I tried all the tricks on their site to fix them, none worked.

I like to hear all frequencies at a higher level. These did not live up to my expectations in the bass department.

It is recommended to utilize the the Headphone connect app which has features like equalizer, 360 Reality Audio, Sound Quality Mode, and many more. Unfortunately, Clear bass is not available for WH1000XM4. You may adjust the bass from the audio source instead.

There are 2 areas that need improvements. If you're using it for calls, the call codec switches from LDAC to SBC and has poor call quality. The second is that if connected to multiple devices LDAC support is disabled and you're forced to use SBC.
