I listen to mostly metal and the low end is good but not overpowering while the high end is excellent. Wish they’d get a bit louder, I find around 90% volume is it’s sweet spot on an iPhone 12. App is quite good, lots of customization. Little pricey but the quality is there.

But you can often find them on sale. I got these on sale and these are by far the best headphones I’ve used. I did buy a lot and returned most of them. We can connect to multiple devices. The base is really good. They are light and easy to use. And the app is pretty extensive. I recommend is highly.

Best Sounding Headphones I've Owned

To be fair, they've served me well, but when my nephew purchased a pair of the WH-1000XM3 headphones last year, I had a chance to try them out. In my opinion, they were much better sounding than my old Bose. I held out from buying a pair though ... until the WH-1000XM4's arrived. I'm so glad I bought these. I'm a bass lover, and these headphones certainly deliver. The vocals are crisp and the dynamic range is great. I use mine with a Galaxy Android phone and the two work together seamlessly. Music pauses when I take the headphones off, and I'm also able to pair it with both my Apple TV 4K and my Fire TV Cube. I recently used them on my first flight (post-covid) and the noise cancelling is excellent. As for the mic ... well, it's clear enough so that I can issue Alexa commands, and it works well for most situations. However, for my work-related Teams calls, I still prefer my older Sennheiser headset with dedicated mic. boom. Overall, well worth the money.

I tried the XM5s for a few weeks as well and the only thing I found to be a little better was the quality of sub bass. However it was outweighed by the horrible comfort of the XM5 touching my ears constantly, and I returned them. Enter the XM4, in my opinion the finest in Sony's wireless full size headphone lineup, excellent sound signature with lots of tuneability thanks to the Sony Headphones app. Very versatile for a variety of genres and far better noise cancelling than the XB900 I had previously. Best of all the XM4 comfort is great too. A little shallow in the earcups but nothing a little readjustment of the headphones can't fix. And nothing like the awful XM5s with their paper thin earpads! Long live the XM4!

Great Headphones

My partner has her pair still & I try to snag em from here when they’re not in use. If you’re looking for a great pair of headphones for your commute or just mere enjoyment of music, podcast, heck even tiktoks lol these are a really solid pair of headphones. I will say that when using them to speak up while using the mic as it picks up the voice fairly low & at a decent quality. It’s no shure mic but it gets the job done & battery on these is fantastic, no problems whatsoever for myself & everyone else i know who also owns a pair. App is user friendly and lots of configuring can be done, there’s literally a setting for everyone! Enjoy.

Outstanding Headphones

I literally started hearing parts of songs I had never heard before. Battery life is outstanding and they're very comfortable for extended wear. Touch controls are very intuitive. They're definitely on the expensive side, but if you can manage to snag them on sale, I would definitely recommend.

Love these headphones!

I was able to hear instruments to songs that I was unable on other headphones. The fit is super comfortable, and the battery life is great for long trips, etc. Only downside is I am unable to share the app with a friend who has the same headphones to watch a movie while while flying.

I prefer these over the bose due to comfort and quality. It is also controlled with an app which makes it convenient for turning them off and adjusting the setting to meet your room requirements. The battery life is good for an entire week

Decent sound & noise cancellation, bought twice

The first set lasted a couple of years' worth of heavy use. I love that I can pair it with two devices. The noise cancelling is decent. It recharges VERY quickly in only 10-15 minutes. The app on the android (my phone) is a better than the one for apple devices (my iPod). The second pair tends to have a few minor issues, but I am still happy with them in comparison to if I went with the next model. I had also looked at a few other companies, but found this set was still the best value for your money (on sale) and functionality.

I’ve always had issue with headphone hurting my ears but these never cause the issue. You can wear them for hours and still have the same comfort. I love the color too it’s this beautiful midnight. Like a rainy Seattle. Also if you go to the gym often I would always have my headphones slide off but these are so form fitting where they don’t. I love these. You won’t regret buying they will forever be my favorite. I LOVE MY SONYSS!!!

Sony vs Apple

The only thing I liked better with Apple was the fit over the ears. It just seemed more cushioned and form fitting. Everything else I liked better with the Sony. Sony absolutely blows away Apple with bass too. No matter what settings I put the Apple on, it would not come close to the hard hitting bass of the Song which was the clincher for me. Much lighter weight and more compact with a better case too were the other pluses.

All I know is, they are comfortable for me, wearing them for most of two 15 hour flights, and the depth and clarity of sound is wonderful. Great around the house too. For the trips, the battery lasted my guess about 20-25 hours. Disconnected a few times with head movement.

Worth every penny

I use these 6 to 10 hours a day normally and my only complaint is I wish some of the control were physical buttons instead of swiping the ear cup or using the phone app.

I’ve purchased the headphones for college but ended up using them for all of my audio needs. The noise cancellation feature allows me to remain focused and get my work done without distractions. Wonderful but wasn’t what I wanted

These as told by the Best Buy geek squad has 360 audio and not spatial audio and they are not the same thing. These headphones seem to focus more on the noise cancellation which work’s absolutely fantastic they muffle so much noise even before you ever even turn on the noise cancellation function. But again that isn’t why I had bought them. The 360 audio only work with 7 different music apps that they recommend to you and (it might work with more was too frustrated to look into all of what other apps, but it has you picking from the 7) which you have to actually pay for a subscription so if your trying to get these headphones for the spatial audio feature go with beats instead. In conclusion they are wonderful if noise cancellations is what you are looking for but do not provide the spatial audio AND.. they give you this short little baby sized cord to charge your headphones with I used my remote as reference but like come on it’s not even a foot long
