Nice but loss of privacy

I don’t like that in order to use them fully Samsung makes you sign up with their app that wants ALL your usage and personal info and there’s no opt out or alternative way to use the headphones. So wuality is great but they’re not worth the loss of privacy. Will be returning them

It's unfortunate that you are already looking to return the headphones. We understand where you are coming from. If you are referring to the Sony Headphones Connect app, the headphones will still function without the app. Uninstall the Headphones Connect app to prevent it from collecting and transmitting personal information. Refer to the Privacy Policy of the Headphones Connect app for detailed information on the type of personal data it collects and transmits. Data is collected and transmitted only if you consent to the privacy policy.

Not worth the money, buy M2 or M3.

I hesitated buying the newer marks because its a lot of money and the M2s are solid. So when I did buy the M4s, my expectations were high due in addition to the positive reviews. Unfortunately, in comparing the M2 to M4 performances, M2 is clearly the winner. Below are some of the detailed comparisons. Noise canceling: I have a noisy bathroom fan and cpuld always count on my M2s to drown out the noise. When I tried the M4s under the same conditions, I could hear the noise of the bathroom fan. I tried calibrating the M4s (unnecessary with the M2s) and still I could hear a significant amount of fan noise. Ambient sound: I use this mode often as I need to hear whats happening around me in the home office. With my M2s, I can hear everything around me cryatal clear with no music and impressively clear with music. However, with the M4s, everything is considerably muffled like its deliberately canceling out some of the ambient sound. Maybe this is by design but should be reconsidered. I tried playing with the ambient sound level settings using the app but still cannot compare to the M2s. I wish I had not purchsed these headphones amd waited for the next mark. ~$400 down the drain. Hope this helps.

This definitely not the experience that we wanted you to have on our premium headphones. For the noise canceling function, if you haven't yet, please follow the instructions below:
• Make sure that the noise cancelling function is turned on.
• Adjust the headset into a comfortable position.
• The noise canceling function is effective in low-frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies.
• Check that the Adaptive Sound Control is turned off.
- Check the setting of the Adaptive Sound Control on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. When the Adaptive Sound Control is turned on, the noise canceling function may become insufficient.
For the Ambient sound, depending on the ambient condition and the type/volume of audio playback, the ambient sound may not be heard even when using the Ambient Sound Mode. If the headset is not worn properly, the Ambient Sound Mode may not work correctly. Please reference the following links to isolate this issue:
