Hi TaylorV, Thanks for sharing your feedback! We're glad you are happy with the noise cancelling featture of your headphones. These steps may help you when the touch sensor is not responding correctly:

The sensor of the touch sensor control panel is built into the flat surface of the right unit. Operate within the range of the sensor.



-When you swipe your finger forward/backward or up/down on the touch sensor control panel, the touch sensor control panel may not work correctly depending on the angle at which the headset is worn or the direction your head is facing.

a. When you swipe your finger forward/backward, make the movements perpendicular to the headband.

b. When you swipe your finger up/down, make the movements parallel to the headband.

We are pleased to hear that you generally love your WH-1000XM4 headphones, but we are very sorry to hear about the frustrating issue with disconnections during calls or when speaking, which is causing you to miss requests during work time. That is certainly not the seamless, reliable experience we intend to deliver, especially for professional use.

The WH-1000XM4 has a feature called "Speak-to-Chat" that automatically pauses music and can disconnect from a call when it detects your voice. If this feature is enabled, it may be interpreting your work conversations as a signal to pause/disconnect.

We strongly recommend checking the following in the Sony | Headphones Connect app:

Check Speak-to-Chat: Locate this setting in the app and try temporarily disabling it to see if this resolves the disconnection issue when you speak.

Check DSEE Extreme: While less likely to cause disconnections, ensuring this is off during critical calls can sometimes improve stability.

Check Firmware: Make sure your headphones are running the latest firmware update, as updates often include stability fixes for connectivity.

If disabling Speak-to-Chat does not solve the problem, please contact our support team directly. They can guide you through more in-depth troubleshooting steps:

Hi Madison, We're happy that you like the amazing sound quality of these headphones. Your feedback regarding the music leakage and noise cancellation is greatly appreciated. With closed-back and over-the-ear design of these headphones, you can ensure that the sound leakage should be very minimal. The noise canceling function works primarily on noise in the low-frequency band such as vehicles and air conditioning. Although noise is reduced, it is not completely canceled. These should be pretty effective at canceling out noise and even more so if you have audio playing while the noise cancelation features are on.
