comfortable for long wear. the noise cancelling is about what everyone says it is. blocks out about 80-90%, some frequencies still come through, but overall the average person wouldnt notice. very comfortable for long period wear. battery life is more like 20-24 hours but charges quick. wouldnt recommend them for any active like going to the gym since they're not waterproof, but for everyday uses and travel its the best price to performance set of headphones.

PROS: 1. Outstanding sound quality 2. Excellent noise cancellation 3. Comfortable for hours 4. Long battery life 5. Easy bluetooth pairing. No dropouts. CONS: 1. Expensive. (but less of a con if you get it on sale).

These are much better than the ult wear if anyone is wondering, Ult wear’s are not good. I purchased both and returned the ults immediately and kept the xm4’s. for $200 or even $150 I can’t recommend the ult. Xm4’s are clean and clear in all areas and similar bass as the ult. The old sony xb900n are vastly better than the ult in everyway, new is not always better for the ULT. XM4’s for gaming it’s surprisingly very good. Clean bass and soundstage is good for closed back, some gsmes im finding myself hearing new sounds and shocked out good they are for gaming. As Someone who games with the audeze maxwell headphone ($300) the xm4 are better than maxwells when gaming wired to a controller. (Consoles) very impressed and on sale for $200 its a great buy. These will stay in the collection

Best wireless headphones I have owned. I used them during a 9 hour flight to Hawai’i and I was pleased at how comfortable they are over long wear periods. Great noise canceling, I accidentally put it on noice canceling at work and my co workers have to walk up and talk to me because I genuinely can barely hear them. Batterie seems to last the advertised 30 hours. 10/10 would recommend. Unable to speak on longevity/ build quality over time.

I was looking for two things when purchasing these headphones: comfort for my large head and excellent ANC to spare me the sound of my sisters when they're on discord voice chat nearby. I've tried a handful of other sets of headphones that have managed one of the two requirements, but never both. The Sony's manage both and have great sound to my untrained ears. The only ding I'd give them is the touch controls in general, but I tend to use these with my laptop and control most aspects with that rather than the headphones. Still 5 stars because I wasn't planning to toy with touch controls much anyway and the thing that matters (ANC) has a physical button.

Recently bought these to replace a pair of Bose QC 35ii's that'd I'd been using for travel for several years, and the leather had finally given way (and aftermarket replacement ear pads just ruined them). I've always liked these Sony's, and bit the bullet and switched. Overall, I do really like these. They are a tick heavier than the Bose equivalents, but not all that noticeable even with a few hours of wear. The sound equalizing is really nice, and a big differentiator from Bose. Really strong bass. It's more noticeable which is L/R compared to the Bose. It's a little thing, and maybe I'm just a moron, but there's a visible difference. The 3.5mm cord is a lot heftier than what Bose provides. I never broke mine, but I was always worried it would happen. Great battery life. A couple negative marks (and why I can't give them 5 stars)... The "vacuum" created with ANC is a lot more noticeable to me than with my old Bose headset, and I'm not in love with that after using these on a few trips. Also, I'm not in love with the lack of buttons and dependence on touch "gestures" for controlling volume, skipping, and pausing. I also worry that, over time, there will be visible wear on that headphone (right side). At least for volume, it'd be nice to have more tactile control (see people's complaints about touch screens on cars). Definitely would recommend these though if they're in budget. All-in-all...great set of headphones.

The sound is perfect. The charge lasts a long time as I use them everyday and for several hours a day. I highly recommend.

This product has tremendously changed by music listening experience. 1. The battery life on the device is amazing. I will go days where I listen to music for a couple hours or more before I get to even 40 percent battery life. 2. The noise cancelling abilities are better than I have heard in other over ear headphones. 3. Build quality is light yet solid, making it a comfortable wear for long periods of times. 3. The app the comes paired with the headphone allows for many useful abilities such as noise canceling adaption, multiple device connection, and many more. Overall great headphones.

My last headphones were fake "refurbished" Beats earbuds from Wish that I bought 4 years ago. So preface, my bar was probably pretty low. The battery life and audio quality are awesome. I've been enjoying going back through my music and am really noticing the difference that comes with quality. Also, I use it as a gaming headset and works just fine for that as well. I tried the XM5s in store and although there was a slight improvement in audio and fit, it was not enough to justify the extra money and larger size. As a big-eared individual, the headphones do get uncomfortable after a couple hours. But that's a me problem as all headphones do that and after that long of a time, I should take a break to not worsen my tinnitus.

loved my bose qc 35 and bought these to try out. the bass is much deeper and i love for music and movies. I do like the passive technology when i fly i can easily listen to flight changes etc without removing my headphones. Comfortable and now my designated travel set. However qc35 are still a bit more comfortable for extended use like gaming or for work. also the app is great and i can manage the noise canceling from my phone-- in addition its easy to manage multiple phones synced simultaneously (i have a work phone and personal phone) so playing music on one device and getting email notifications on the other is convenient.

I returned a set of the previous generation in time for this new addition. While I've yet to utilize all functions of this, I can say that what it sells you on (Battery life, ANC - Active Noise Cancelling) and built in assistant (Alexa/Google Assist), it does amazingly well. The promise of dual connectivity will help greatly from the work from home life. Toggling between Videos on one device (laptop) and an incoming phone call (cell phone) is seamless to the point that (dual connectivity) it happens immediately and reverts back to what you were doing. Very impressed but it's not a must, more so a huge bonus. Plus a user like myself who is an active traveler will utilize both the promise of cancelling surrounding noises while enjoying music.

I’ve been using the Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones for a while now, and honestly, they’ve completely changed how I listen to music. These headphones are phenomenal. Noice cancellation, in app customization, sleek design…they’re really great. I picked these up because I refuse to pay for the AirPod Max. I used the headphones in the office, at the gym, and at home. They pair almost as nice as some of my Apple products, so don’t worry about lack of compatibility if you’re in the apple ecosystem. I truly don’t have any complaints. I can keep them on for hours at a time and barely kill the battery. These are everything I need when I want to fully dive into my listening experience.

I usually don't spend this much on headphones. Well, never have I ever. I usually stick to included earbuds which are no longer or those less than $20. So, this was a splurge and one that was well worth it. I got it on sale but would totally buy it at full price. These are THAT good. The Sony app is actually useful and has a myriad of settings to dial in the optimal sound for the environment. It also allows you to adjust ANC to be able to hear ambient sounds. One of my most used features is the gesture that if you hold the right ear cup, it'll pause music. It can also pause music if you start talking. There are too many features to list here. Overall, I would recommend these all day long.

It has very good quality sound i would recommend this headphones and the noise reduction also works well and it is comfortable its not too tight
