Best Noise Cancelling, Sound Quality, Comfortable

I had used Bose, Studio Headset, and many more, but this one is super comfortable, has best noise cancelling feature, best sound quality. Likewise, you can connect to two devices (what more do you want :)). And of course, it has the long lasting battery. . So, this headphone truly deserves 5 star !!! If you have enough budget, go for it.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a sennheiser fan for a very long time and have owned each momentum model (wired and wireless) and have tried many other brands of wireless and found few that match sennheiser. This review is about Sony, so I decided to try something different and ordered the XM4. They are great noise cancelling headphones, great features, very comfy and nice looking. I fired them up and was surprised at the lack of clarity, crispness and sound stage. I tried to eq them and they sounded a little better. So they impress me as great noise cancelling headphones that can sound OK and have solid build and great features. There are a safe bet if you fly a lot and need maximum ANC, but the Bose 700 offer equal ANC and sound much cleaner with nice bass. There is something magical about the sennheiser sound that makes you want to listen to music when you should be doing something else or asleep. I am an old guy but like good rap and the bass on the m3 is perfect, rock the same, the richness of the sound and the majestic sound stage are just a cut above any other ANC headphone I've listened too and I've tried them all. The Sony m4 is a excellent noise cancelling headphone with great features and comfortable fit for a fair price, but if you really like music, give the momentum 3 a spin, you won't be sorry because they will take you a happy place that will make you a more content person, I promise.

Super comfortable and great sound quality!

They are super comfortable. The sound quality is also top notch. I love the feature that detects your voice and pauses what you're listening to and the noise cancellation so you can talk to someone and hear what they're saying. The fact that there's an even newer model is crazy. The price point made this model so worth it and it's still so good. I only have two complaints, and they're totally minor. I know at least one of them is fixed with the newer model, which is that I don't like how they're stored. You awkwardly have to twist one side completely and the other bend at an awkward angle to fit in the case, it's judt a strange way to fit the headphones into the case. My only other complaint is that sometimes the bluetooth connection isn't great and the sound will be static-y. All I have to do is disconnect bluetooth and reconnect and it's fixed. Both minor annoyances that still made the cheaper price for the older model 100% worth it.

I personally don’t think noise cancellation is top tier, I also have AirPods Pro 2gen and it better noise cancellation, but other than that they’re amazing.

I like its dual connectivity feature as I usually use my laptop and phone concurrently and I had to switch connection between them with my old headphones. I just wish it took a somewhat shorter time to get fully charged. However, the battery life after each charge is pretty good.

Able to connect to multiple devices at the same time. Great sound. Comfortable to where for extended hrs. Long battery life. Able to be used wired or over Bluetooth. Only notable complaint is it feeling a little more like its made out of plastic, giving a cheaper feel when compared to previous models as they are very lightweight. They have been well worth it so far

Great sound and value for price

Really like the sound quality and adaptive sound. Very comfortable for wearing on long haul flights. Plus a battery that lasts there and back. They do make my ears sweaty after a while. All in all like these better than Apple AirPod Max, Bose or Beats.

The best investment!

I bought the headphones to reduce the noise from my upstairs neighbor who walks like a stampeding elephant. I wear them 24/7 to listen to music or watch TV. I would say the only issue is when you connect 2 devices via Bluetooth, there is a bit of interference.

Very comfortable without being too heavy on the head. Worth the investment and a little more cost effective. Just because they are the older version of the XM5 does not mean you lose out on quality at any point.

A downgrade, IMO.

I've had the previous XM3 model for over six years and the only reason I had to finally move on from it was due to extreme wear and tear. So I thought I'd upgrade this time. The XM4 is, for me, a downgrade. Everything I cared about is worse. The distance from my computer before the sounds gets choppy and cuts out has lessened. The headset is finicky with which device it wants to connect to. Sometimes I'll have to actually disconnect one device so that another can join instead. But then other times, it's perfectly fine? There was also this awful feature where it would attempt to auto detect my surrounds and turn on and off noise cancelling at will. This is on by default. I will admit that the auto shutdown after a few minutes of detecting it's no longer on my head is nice. Just wish I could adjust how longe before it does that. Wish it were 10 mins. I honestly wish I just tried to get the same model instead of "upgrading".

Regarding the issues you mentioned, here are a few quick things you can try to make the headset behave a bit better:
-In the Sony | Sound Connect app, go to the Sound tab and switch the Bluetooth Connection Quality to "Priority on Stable Connection." This should help with the choppiness and range.
-In the app, you can disable the "Adaptive Sound Control" feature which changes your settings based on your location or movement.
-You can actually adjust or disable the auto-off sensor in the "System" tab of the app to give you more control over when they shut down.
If those steps don't fix the issues, please get in touch with our support team at https://us.esupport.sony.com/support/s/support-contact?language=en_US&category=headphones so we can look into the connection issues further.
