Sony WH-1000XM4 Headphones

Brought my headphones with me to work to see if I could use them in place of my Peltor workman earmuffs, turns out XM4’s have better noise canceling. There are a few annoying features. The app is very Sony, so half the features don’t work and the other half only work some of the time. The touchscreen on the outside of the right muff was cool when I first got them, now it’s just annoying, often increasing/decreasing volume when I want to skip a song. Speak-to-chat is also just a ridiculous feature, can’t use it in public, constantly activates when I’m laying in bed, turns itself back on randomly. It’s classic Sony, awesome tech, miserable software.

Great unit

I am very happy with these. I am not a music expert but I know what I like being of the older generation. I amazed by the noise cancelation, sound and battery life of the unit. The one problem is after a couple of hours having the on my ear start to sweat so I take them off.

I had the previous gen of the headphone and decided to upgrade and it was the best decision I made. They took the previous model and improved in every way. It's very handy and not heavy. The box provided is awesome and holds this well. Noise cancelling feature is great and when you speak it recognizes your voice and holds the audio. They didnt compare at all when it came to style, functionality, sound, and features. The Sonys have a built in assistant that can be accessed at the touch of a button which could be used with Google or Alexa. They have a unique feature to hear your surroundings by holding the outter side of the headphone. The app has countless settings to fully customize them to your liking. And even a feature to capture a photo of your own ear to get the best sound possible. I noticed the headphones are also scratch resistant and stay clean for the most part. Every other pair of headphones that ive worn, ended up with scratches and blemishes shortly after purchase. The case included is protective and functional. The right ear side has hand gesture functions that help you amswer calls, end calls, skip songs, and change volume. Which does take some getting used to. I personally recommend these to anyone. I can finally be heard with ease on my calls without too much background noise. You can't go wrong with this purchase.

The noise canceling is great, and doesn’t make your head feel a ton of pressure the way my Airpods Pro do. They also sound great! And i love that i can easily adjust the equalizer. The battery also last a long time!
