I have only used the noise cancelling in an office setting so far, but it definitely cut all the ambient noise out. I’m really happy with this purchase!

The best part is the noise canceling. Noise-canceling stops automatically if someone nearby or you start talking. However, one time I was listening to music, and suddenly there was no sound for no apparent reason even though the headset was connected and the music was running on YouTube music. When I disconnected the Bluetooth, I could hear the music playing on my laptop. So I had to restart the headphones and reconnect to the Bluetooth to get it to work again. This only happened once though. Comes with different sets of connectors. Can be used on long flights for noise canceling or watching movies.

I'm really impressed by the sound quality, noise cancelling performance, and feature set. They are comfortable to wear for several hours at a time. I haven't yet had opportunity to try the microphone for videoconferencing, but I am optimistic. These are not budget headphones. But you do get what you pay for with these.

I think Bose comes second to this because Sony's sound profile is crispy and dynamic compared to Bose's. One downside is the transparency mode. It's not as good as my AirPods Pros and I can hear the wind through it sometimes.
