Thanks for sharing your review and experience with the WH1000XM4. Your feedback about the call quality is greatly appreciated. For optimum performance, make sure that the software version of the headphones is up-to-date (via the Sony Sound Connect app).

When on a call, turn up the volume of the headset and the connected device. Use the Bluetooth device to re-establish the connection. Select HFP or HSP for the profile. You can also check your source device or the app that you are using for mic sensitivity if available.

Hi Brady, Thank you for choosing Sony! The noise-cancelling function is effective in low-frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices. Although noise is reduced, it is not completely cancelled.

The Sony Headphones Connect app is designed to fully utilize the capabilities of the headphones. You can still use the headphones without the Sony app.

For optimum performance, make sure that the software version of the headphones is updated (via the Sony Headphones Connect app).

Hi Erica, We are glad to hear that you are happy with the sound quality of your new WH-1000XM4! You may be experiencing the wearing detection feature of the WH-1000XM4. The built-in proximity sensor in the left unit and the built-in acceleration sensors in each of the left and right units detect when the headset is attached to or removed from your ears, and the headset automatically controls the touch sensor control panel’s operation, powering off, pausing music playback, etc. In this case, you may turn off the wearing detection using the Sony Headphones Connect app.
