Sad i had to return but until there is a fix, I will just look at them on the shelf.

We appreciate your review of the WH1000XM4 headphones. Make sure to install the latest software version (via the Sony Headphones Connect app) for optimum performance.
The noise canceling function is effective in low-frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices. Check that the Adaptive Sound Control is turned off. Check the setting of the Adaptive Sound Control on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. When the Adaptive Sound Control is turned on, the noise canceling function may become insufficient.

Theres a review on YouTube by “This is tech today” that gave an overview on these plus other (Bose, beats, Apple etc) headphones. If you are looking for comfortable noise canceling headphones these are great. The box falsely advertises "High Res Audio Wireless" LOL no such thing exists as of December 2021. You can have high res or wireless but not both.

We do apologize for the inconvenience. Make sure to wear the headphones properly. Adjust the length of the headband. Put the headset on your head with the (left) mark on your left ear and the (right) mark on your right ear. There is a tactile dot on the (left) mark side.
