Hands down the best headphone on the market

Sony need to do more promotions for these headphone. Because the only reason I even known about these headphone is because it was compare to the new Apple headphone. Bose is good but it’s price range??? You better off buying two xm3. Xm3 is also good, this is better with the noise canceling and the headphone last a long time, it been 2 weeks now and it didn’t have to charge it yet.

But that’s where you would be wrong they still hold up to be some of the best sounding headphones to date. Also, I know people don’t like to download apps for a lot of things, But the app that works with this pair of headphones Is worth it because of all the features that it holds you can have a custom EQ you can tweak different options in there. The pass-through is really nice as well. There’s a lot of great features.

Great sound and the noise canceling is among the best I've used (compared to Bose and Sennheiser). Very comfortable and the fit sits right outside my ears. Pads can get a little sweaty during extended use, but that's a given with pleather pads. Love that the earcups fold down to sit flat. Build quality feels light, but sturdy if that's possible. USB-C charging is fast! Works well wired to a USB-C DAC for my iPad Pro, too!

Worth the money

The battery doesn't seem quite as good as advertised, but I often have them on 12+ hours a day and never have to charge them before bed. Noise cancelling is crazy good. I've had these for about 6 months and there are no signs of wear - build quality seems sturdy. I do wish you could have them on and charging at the same time for when the battery inevitably deteriorates.

Fantastic Bluetooth headphones

These Sony wireless Bluetooth headphones are by far the best. They sound fantastic and are extremely comfortable. You can wear them for hours and not know they are there. Noise reduction works great and the right earphone can control volume and song selection. The other day I cut the grass wearing these phones and could not hear the mower. I could have cut another yard or two.

A downgrade, IMO.

I've had the previous XM3 model for over six years and the only reason I had to finally move on from it was due to extreme wear and tear. So I thought I'd upgrade this time. The XM4 is, for me, a downgrade. Everything I cared about is worse. The distance from my computer before the sounds gets choppy and cuts out has lessened. The headset is finicky with which device it wants to connect to. Sometimes I'll have to actually disconnect one device so that another can join instead. But then other times, it's perfectly fine? There was also this awful feature where it would attempt to auto detect my surrounds and turn on and off noise cancelling at will. This is on by default. I will admit that the auto shutdown after a few minutes of detecting it's no longer on my head is nice. Just wish I could adjust how longe before it does that. Wish it were 10 mins. I honestly wish I just tried to get the same model instead of "upgrading".

Regarding the issues you mentioned, here are a few quick things you can try to make the headset behave a bit better:
-In the Sony | Sound Connect app, go to the Sound tab and switch the Bluetooth Connection Quality to "Priority on Stable Connection." This should help with the choppiness and range.
-In the app, you can disable the "Adaptive Sound Control" feature which changes your settings based on your location or movement.
-You can actually adjust or disable the auto-off sensor in the "System" tab of the app to give you more control over when they shut down.
If those steps don't fix the issues, please get in touch with our support team at https://us.esupport.sony.com/support/s/support-contact?language=en_US&category=headphones so we can look into the connection issues further.

These are an improvement on an already awesome product. Haven't tested battery life, but i haven't had to charge them since i fully charged them last. The sound quality is amazing, noise cancelling is top notch!( I tried the bose 700's as well. Nice, but not as good as Sony.) I see why they call it industry leading! Haven't been this impressed with headphones for a long time!! Definitely wirth every penny!!

Noise cancelling is very good. Sound quality seems also very good. Folds neatly into a small carrying case. Cool color (midnight blue) Needs improvement: This is my personal preference but volume control, swiping up on right cup feels awkward. Forward and backward feels natural. Adaptive sound control didn't work well for me. When I tried it, it kept changing mode every 30 seconds or so. I just turned it off. Overall, I really like it. Even more so when I got money back because price dropped within 2 weeks of purchase

If you ever need to get his attention without him taking the headphones off, he can simply cover the entire right earcup with his hand to activate "Quick Attention Mode," which instantly turns the music down and lets ambient sound in. I was sceptical of noise cancelling headphones, so I took a shot in the dark after a bit of comparisons online. I couldnt personally go out at test any, but I highly recommended before buying based on each persons' preferences. I have larger ears and it comfortably sits over them for extended periods of time. Sound quality is great and noise cancelation takes me to a deeper dimension of my dissociation.

Better than the Bose QC35 II

I'm a little annoyed, with long hair, with the double-tap to pause feature though, it takes a few tries to get right sometimes, and I miss having an actual button for that like with the QC35 IIs

These are the best headphones I've ever had. Battery life is better than I've had, wear them at night for 6-7 hours and battery usage has only gone down from 100% to 80%. Sound is outstanding.

I was looking at another brand until the associate told me to listen to these before I made my decision. So glad I listened to his advice. Have to add that I have Cauliflower ear and most cheap over the ear brands kill my ears after a few minutes. Not the case with these, I sometimes forget that I have them on.
