Amazing noise canceling and comfort

I live where there is a lot of construction going on, traffic, and barking dogs. I put these on an instantly it cancels most of the noise, and once I put the music on I can only hear what I put on. They let you connect to two devices at a time, as long as you aren’t using the aux. They will turn themselves off if no music is playing long enough, unless the aux cable is connected. They are really good quality headphones, and the noise canceling is better than I expected. They feel amazing and I can wear them a few hours before they start to feel heavy. The sound quality is also top notch. The main problems are that sometimes it’s difficult to connect to certain Bluetooth devices, and the other problem is the battery will keep draining if you leave the aux cable in. In my opinion the free trial to the service they offer is not worth it, and it was a little difficult cancelling the service, I do not recommend the 3D sound stuff, it doesn’t make much a difference anyway and it’s only a couple hundred songs that offer it.

The ANC is actually amazing. I don't think I could survive a flight without them. I use them daily and have no complaints

To boost the noise canceling on your WH-1000XM4, here are a few simple things you can try:
-Check the Sony | Sound Connect app: Make sure Adaptive Sound Control is turned off. If it's on, the headphones might be switching to "Ambient Sound" mode because they think you're walking or waiting, which lets outside noise in.
-Double check that the ear pads are sitting flush against your head. If there’s even a small gap, the noise canceling won't be able to do its job properly.

These are no exception and I love it that they have great sound and are comfortable, so can be worn for long stretches. They seldom lose connection but when they do, they connect back quickly. No complaints.

My XM3's are dying and the XM4's have updated Bluetooth to allow for multiple device connections. These may be two versions old, but the XM5/6's do not fold up as compactly and, as reviews point out, the headband may be slightly tighter. ANC is great and the sound is balanced.

It is a little lighter on my head, so I don't feel it at all. The bass response is much better too, doesn't distort so fast like the other one did. I'm a fan.

Loved my Bose QC-35 but the battery wasn’t lasting more than 8 hours. The Sony headphones sound great and have amazing noise cancellation. The battery life is easily 16-18 hours. My only complaint is they take longer to pair to my phone and iPad. The Bose paired immediately. Since these Sony headphones have a new version out, they were almost $80 off. Great deal.
