Decent headphones for the money, not enough bass

Pricey but I was putting it on my best buy card so it’s cool. Out of the box these don’t sound that great honestly. After watching YouTube reviews and searching Reddit, after playing with the sound levels you can get these to sound really good. Only gripe I have really is there could be some more bass. Even with the bass at max it still seems a little lacking. The touch controls are great and easy to use. I really like the noise cancellation and the fact you can put your hand over one ear and it temporarily turns off noise cancellation is really nice. Overall good headphones that sound great but if you like lots of deep bass you might want to keep looking.

For optimum performance, make sure that the software version of the headphones is updated (via the Sony Headphones Connect app). Bass quality may vary depending on the source content. As I was in the kitchen prepping Christmas dinner, he comes in bawling. I thought something was wrong. I held him and asked him what was wrong. Through tears he said "I can hear evey sound. These are amazing headphones. Thank you so much mom." And the tears continued to flow. He was more than happy with his gift. I'm extremely happy that I got them on Black Friday because I thought about getting some for myself today for my birthday. Um....nope. But they sound fantastic!!!

The noise cacnellation is good, yet the software could be better. While using on an airplane recently I could still hear the rumble/mumble of voice in the background, even though I checked all the settings and they were as they should have been. Like I said good, just not great.

The noise canceling function works primarily on noise in the low frequency band. Although noise is reduced, it is not completely canceled. Adjust the earpad position to fit your ears. In additional to checking all the settings, check that the Adaptive Sound Control is turned off. When the Adaptive Sound Control is turned on, the noise canceling function may become insufficient.
