    I bought my son the XM3 model a year ago. I loved using them on occasion. When the XM4 model was released, I had to buy. These are terrific over ear noise cancelling headset.

    I've only had these for three days and I am beyond satisfied with the sound quality and noise cancelling feature. Definitely recommend these over the Bose headphones.

    I didn’t feel like the sound quality on these is any different compared to my current Shure SE 215 earbuds… The build is fantastic and the headphones are very small. Color doesn’t look as pleasant and vibrant as it does on photos or pictures, it’s more like a boring mix of grey and beige. Noise cancellation is better than XM3 but it still can’t do much against noise such as laptop fans or desktop fans. My head still gets hot immediately as I’m using these. Overall, it was a mistake to give these a second chance. XM4 is intended for traveling on an airplane and maybe loud cities. If you want to listen to music or play games with good sound Quality, look elsewhere. I’ll be getting Shure Aonic earbuds.

      For sound quality, the WH-1000XM4 features an equalizer with the use of the Sony | Headphones Connect app. You can adjust it according to your preferences to suit your overall listening experience. You can also change the sound quality mode from the Sony | Headphones Connect app to "priority on sound quality mode" so the headphones will prioritize the sound quality of your audio device.

      For noise canceling, you can enhance this feature by following the steps provided on the link below:

      For fit or comfort issues, the WH-1000XM4 has a self-adjusting headband and soft cushioned earcups that cover the whole ear. You may try adjusting the headband slider so that they cover your ears. This will help give you more personalized comfort.
