Sound quality is great, and I like the Sony app, so I can even adjust sound through their equalizer that's on the app to target specific notes for different types of music. Well made and comfortable too.

Excellent but pricey

Great battery life, excellent sound quality, and on long flights with kids it did it's job swimmingly. I will say the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that Sony or BBY keep fluctuating the price and I'd purchased them full price making it weird to recommend. Def a must buy if on a solid sale.

Great headphones

While the WH1000XM4 headphones don’t have an IPX rating, simple workout routines like walking shouldn’t be of concern. If you sweat a lot or for more serious workouts, you may want to consider the WF-C500, WF-1000XM4, or WF-1000XM5.

Worth the money if you listen alot or want it to be quiet. Occasionally the touch surface swipe is misread but I wonder if the headphones just aren't always on straight

Great Headphones

Great choice

Sound is clear you hear everything thing. I also like how customizable the headphones are with the Sony app. Because each person has a preference on how they like to hear their music you can make it sound how you like it. The work great for exercising you feel like your in your own world with the noise canceling feature. Once you start talking it stop the music. I liked that feature but because I also like to sing I had to turn it off because I couldn’t get through a song without the headphones thinking I was having a conversation. But you have so much control on how you want the headphones to work that it’s a great choice for anyone.

Fits comfortably on my head, sound quality is great, and the battery life is totally worth it. I think the noise suppression could be better but it definitely gets the job done.

Better than AirPod Pros

I have had apples AirPod pros for 2 years and I loved them but they always lacked in the sound quality department but as soon as I put these on everything changed. These are the best sounding headphones I have ever had. From the smooth highs and the perfect base these are a great buy for those who just want amazing sound quality with all the bells and whistles that all these earbuds have and The noise cancellation is a lot better than I thought it would be.

However, it is confusing at times to remember which way to swipe across the headphones to turn up the volume or switch songs. I’ve also noticed that the headphones will change from noise cancellation to ambient without me doing it and I don’t know if that’s a simple fix or if it’s something else.

Regarding the controls, for volume, swipe up repeatedly for louder and down repeatedly for quieter; for tracks, swipe forward for the next song and backward for the previous song. The automatic mode change is likely due to the Adaptive Sound Control or Speak-to-Chat features in the Sony | Headphones Connect app. Please open the app and disable both of those features to keep it locked on Noise Cancellation. If the issue continues after checking those settings, please reach out to our support team for further assistance. Thanks for choosing Sony.

great ANC headphones

I never tried the new Sony line of the noise cancelling headphones but I was pleasantly surprised. However, I feel like using them to talk on the phone is not so good, the other person has trouble hearing me when it is noisy around me. Also it comes with a bag and an airplane adapter and a cable which is very convenient.

Thanks for being upfront about your experience with phone calls in noisy spots. The headphones use smart microphones and noise cancelling tech to help catch your voice, but in busy places, it can sometimes be tough for the other person to hear you.
If you often need to take calls in busy places, trying to find a quieter spot or adjusting features like Sidetone in the Sony | Sound Connect app can sometimes make your voice clearer for the other person.

Best WFH headset

Only con is that the microphones pick up to much outside noise and can be heard within teams calls. The noise cancellation is amazing on planes and while listening to music. Battery life is excellent as well.

They are very comfy and nicely built. I truly got to test their noise cancelling during last Pride. Pride is super loud and I got to use the headphones to walk inside the parade taking photos.
